No fun when it's hot like that! Here in Las Vegas I feel your pain, pretty much all summer long! Don't have the humidity you do. All of my shooting starts at 5am in the morning. Typically it will be 100 degrees at 12am in the middle of the summer. Not much relief even after the sun goes down! Thanks for sharing!

I've got the same deal going with the loads for my son's 308. With the right load, it's 1/3 MOA...but half a grain either way, it opens up to a full MOA or bigger. I hate loads like that, but when you've got something that'll stay under an inch at 300, you just run with it!

Very nice .243 M40 marine sniper style stock OD brown hearing protector Stainless barrel. Quick comment I have the same front rest the front lock knob and mechanism allows movement and groups shot variances my solution inexpensive new or used front rest with the adjustable metal feet for elevation took 1/4 inch sheet steal made a catchers plate triangle after drilling to match the feet holes and painting black put feet on catchers plate and bolted rest to catchers plate. No movement on a range shooting bench. Use the other for plinking or field carry and use. Here is a load my NEF 243 out 3 in a fingernail at 150yds with. 33.8grains Alliant Reloader 15 80grain match Boat tail hollow point Speer TNT or Hornady Amax my preference 2.68" OAL CCI 200 Large rifle primer Remington or Federal Brass. Hodgdon and Alliant powders use ethyl centralite coatings that keep the barrel much cooler and less standard deviation in velocity from hot to cold than other powders like IMR that just use Nitrocellulose grains with higher nitroglycerine content heat barrels fast more variation in velocity. The Jewell HVRTSBR Remington 700 Trigger is in my opinion the best but costly. Have a Rifle basix on my Howa .308 nice for the price.

It isn't just bullet jump when one changes the seating of the bullet and not the powder charge. You change another thing, Case capacity changes you have more with the bullet seated less and less with the bullet seated more. The accuracy can have more to do with one than the other. Often the bullet jump is over- rated or misunderstood. That is why you can have a bullet with a lot of jump shoot as good as or sometimes better than a bullet close to the lands. Think about it. There are no givens in reloading. Nothing is 100% when it gets to variables.

I have, not on all my rigs, but some. I would guess, if you could measure the point of contact exactly, then seat the bullet longer & longer, say .005" at a time, you will find a sweet spot. Doing the same, seating shorter & shorter, you find your sweet spot, as I and millions of other hand loaders do. Let the arguments begin. Having that little bit of jump is one of the small things to help stay out of a high PSI situation. Myself, I may be shooting vermin in 40-50deg. temps or 90-100deg. temps. Huge difference. More and more powders are out that are supposedly insensitive to temp changes, but still most are not. I have a .223 Rem case that has a primer pocket large enough to fit 2 primers in, due to high PSI on a really hot day. That was over 20 years ago. That may be a middle of winter video when I have not much going on. The bottom line is, use what works for you. Thanks for coming along.

He thinks a guy should just grab the rifle off of the rack and grab a box of Remington and just start blasting...when actually, this is quite literally rocket-science. I found the left/right movements just as confusing as Aaron, but have come to accept it is just a fact. Best explanations I've found are what he said, and that the bullet is leaving the barrel at a different point in its spin cycle, and depending on the pressure/speed, affecting harmonics and then somehow causes it to hit left or right. Not a fan of adjusting the scope between groups, as it nullifies the differences in POI, and only really shows group sizes.

Two-stroke Smoke I don't chase the lands anymore like I used to. I look for like he said in the video a chamber "sweet spot" and go from there. Some folks call it an accuracy node. Once I am close I just adjust COL either seating the bullet out or deeper depending on bullet group size. I tried setting the bullets to the lands on a .223 and it hated short jump to the lands so I went through different factory loads of various COL until I found one in the chamber sweet spot that it liked. It was way back off of the lands. Nowhere near it. Then I duplicated the COL of that factory load and adjusted from there. I am still adjusting that COL to fine tune it and tighten it up. As you get chamber throat erosion over time that sweet spot will shift and change so you can't sit on one optimum load indefinitely.
