In this video I lay out my process for writing scripts for my KZread videos, including where I like to write, using my iPad Pro and the iA Writer app, structuring the message I want to put across, and some thoughts on the importance of feeding your mind to keep the flow of creativity going, and how I deliver a piece to camera.

I've got to say, I really think you've filled a gap in the market. You really are one of the only people on KZread I've found that is truly genuine about the information they're providing. You don't act superior in any way to anyone else, and even though many many people idolize you, you make it clear that we are all taking the same journey, it's only the path we take that makes us different. You're probably the only KZreadr I've ever come across that can just speak for 20 minutes and I want to hear every word. That's because you're genuine, you have no agenda, you just seem to want to share your experience with the world. You also create content at an easily digestible pace. The fact that you post monthly instead of daily is incredibly respectable because it means you're willing to take time to create valuable content. You're not just in it for the views. Please keep doing what you're doing, your words somehow bring a sense of relief to the world. Your honesty is admirable.

I think the channels that have a scripted format are the channels that offer the most information, just think every video essentially you're writing an essay with a introduction statement, a proposal for your thesis + the body and rebuttals it's truly a work of beauty! I script most of my videos but Sean you've inspired me so much today man. You're a blessing, thank you.

I ussually leave myseilf time to evolve and mature ideas, and despite the fact that I can look pretty much as a sleeping pasive giant golem, through this kind of message I understand that I am still learning, in a less evident and exterior way. And the metafore about "ruminate", though not very delicious, it´s extremely precise.

The benediction... the way you describe its use is the most brilliant that I've seen in a long time. For the day job, I do a podcast every two weeks. I'm glad to say that my method is not too far off of yours for script development. But I've always felt lacking in my closings. Your method of "benediction" has really given me something to develop in my own way. Thank you for that. Now that you've talked about it, I can now see one of the big reasons that your videos resonate with me so well, that benediction. You create incredibly engaging content, then wrap it up in a way that makes me feel good about what I've just watched and motivates me to go out and apply what you've taught.

I've watched this video 4 times in the last 2 weeks. I've been looking for a way to express my message that suits me. Most KZreadrs... Hook 3-6 seconds, intro 4-7 seconds, script, call to action, outro 4-7 seconds, end screen 4-20 seconds! This approach resonates with me. Especially the idea of a Benediction. I'm giving advice to small business owners, we have it pretty tough so a moment to let them know I want them to succeed... Well, it's something I would have liked when I was starting out! I have a hunch I'll be back to this exact video several times as I'm developing my style. Thank you :)

You gave some great tips, and most importantly, after watching your video, I feel less nervous about the process. I'm more excited and less hesitant. I had planned to end the videos the same way with an encouragement to anyone who has watched the video, but I love the idea of wording it "May you..." That is such a sweet way to end the videos and hopefully truly encourage others. Thank you so much brother. You have made an impact on at least one person, but I would guess quite a few others.

Sean, you are a very unique and special individual and we are all very fortunate to have your share your talents with us. Now I can see why I enjoy your videos so much. I would add that another thing you do with your videos is that you are thoughtful about your aesthetic vernacular - your visual interfacing in it's totality after the shots, the grading, and the typeface is all combined. I think this is just as key as the writing. It all has purpose and that comes across. It grants you a tremendous amount of trust from your audience - that their time with you is well spent, and that you are a credible human being.

Truly an exceptional video. I am returning to the cameras after a multi-decade hiatus while I lived in Internet World. The phenomena of KZread has brought me back. 99% of YT "camera related" videos are "gear" related and I have watched a few hundred over the last few weeks. To find a video like this amongst them was a surprise. I will say your "benediction" part of the 3 "acts" really inspired me to think about this return of mine differently. My original motivation was mainly business related but after watching this I realize this journey can (and will) be so much more. Thank you Sean.

A powerful and helpful message. This is applicable to many roles we each play even though we may not be creating videos.

This is awesome, Pastor Sean! I've been subscribed to your channel to learn about photography and videography. I watched this video because I wanted to know about script writing, and I learned something significant about you; you used to be a pastor. That is encouraging and admirable. I must say that this video is a work of art. Yes, your message of about how you write a script and present it is clear, and a very well thought out process that you deliver incredibly, but wow! Each frame from the b roll you showed in your other video is like a page from an art book! Thanks for your inspiration.

One of the top 5 videos I've watched on KZread. I'm trying to start my channel and this info was so helpful getting me to a point of understanding how I can get my thoughts caught on camera without feeling fake. Thanks a ton!

Sean Tucker, thanks. For one, I appreciate the depth you add to your messages. I love photography. Deeply. I also love writing, perhaps, even more. I'm also a human being trying to find my way in this world. No interest I have is ever exclusive from my human condition. True for everyone, if we're willing to be honest with ourselves. Like you, I spent time in the church. Unlike you, my experience wasn't as positive. Still, I enjoyed crafting messages and learning to be intentional with my words; infusing hope and positivity. So, thank you. I hear you. Keep doing what you do, and how you do it. I appreciate your heart.

The thoughtful qualities of your videos is what drew me to your channel in the first place. I'm not surprised you script your videos. I wish more youtubers would because I'm fed up with all the meanding streams of consciousness that other users put up. A little preparation goes a long way.

As always very informative Sean. The concept of ruminating as base of your complex videos makes perfect sense. Thanks.

I think one of the things I appreciate most about your style / output is that you have that ability to actually inspire people to try to be better. I'be got a photography background from a young age, and the KZread side of things is newer to me. There's a million people out there who can give on-the-nose technique advice [Click this, then that]. It's a lot harder to have the ability to compel people to *be better,* and I appreciate that. Thanks for the work.
