Not always the secret though. If you do your homework and pick a solid business, you are better off putting all In one basket and watching it carefully. It might require you to sit on cash needed to jump on other opportunity so it needs to be clear that Its a good business.

I buy OTC, and do a ton of DD everyday. Being retired helps. I also buy dividend stocks for passive income.

@@onieodelia5840 Sadly, if you're down that much you didn't do very much research. Being down a few percent right now is fine due to the market, but 60% is crazy! Watch different vids before investing in any other thing, go for low risk index funds or better still, try out charles matthew alsip he is good. I can see people have suggested already.

Love this, nice challenge. Chose to invest in 14 cypto's currencies instead. $500 AUD for each. Each earn interest as well. XTZ 4.2%, WAN 6.3% VRA 18.25%, SOL 6.6%, MATIC 12.8%, LUNC 8.1%, KSM 18.5%, FTM 4.2%, EGLD 12.1%, DOT 12.5%, BNB 5%, AXS 78%, ATOM 10.9%, ALGO 8.1%, ADA 5.1%. This is a gamble, only have faith in BNB and maybe ADA, but this should be interesting from 6-12months from now.

Hi Nathaniel, option trading is not something I am really into so it’s hard to recommend it. I would say to make 1/2 a million dollars though you would probably have to invest at least that much in the first place. You’re in a great position to become wealthy in your 40s. Soon comes around. Invest S&P 500 all the way and forget it. Enjoy some of your money on yourself. When you get a job then add more. Key is invest and forget check in once a year. It will grow.

The real answer is nobody knows. Personally, most of my money in my Fidelity account is in VOO but I also have some VIG. I’m hoping to get a cash flowing rental property in the next several years but mortgage rates are terrible now. Personally, I would forget about cryptocurrency. One of the absolute best investments you can make is an investment in yourself. My income has gone up over 3x in ten years from learning new skills and continuing to level up…also lots and lots of hard work and sacrifice.

Hey mark. Im some rando from the netherlands trying to ride along to find the opportunities to take advantage in life. I have a question. I have a feeling there's going to be a huge gap between a new kind of human being and those who are left behind because they don't have enough money or resources to keep up. I don't know exactly how to word it. The economic differences between people now are huge but I also somehow see that it will literally create physical differences between people as our technology becomes more and more entangled, interwoven, with ourselves. How do i get rich from that.

Something that i dont understand is why invest now when a recession is coming? Isn’t it best to wait untill the recession is officially there to have everything on discount? Im having trouble grasping the concept

Too bad I was in 40s by the time I thought about any of these things. Any advice for a late starter?

I dislike the way you covered gambling here, but not for the reason you may think. You should really specify random-chance gambling e.g. roulette, slots etc. There are several forms of gambling that involve an element of skill where it is possible to make profits over a longer term e.g. poker and sports betting. I'm absolutely not saying this is an investment opportunity for everyone because these forms of gambling take several years to master, but it's an important distinction compared to what you said.

Depends on the stock. I like things that have a history of good dividends and splits. Think "recession proof" areas. People will always need food, water, shelter and so will businesses both big and small alike. Never keep one sector as a main basket of course. In other words, it never hurts to try dabbling in real estate in some form, or another, or starting a local small business of your own (what I personally did and am doing, even though I have no website yet, or the inventory to back it up as I'm just getting started; and instead am presenting the products and taking orders to have things lined up; as I am ordering the inventory to make my products). Anyway, I make and sell soy candles as a start in accordance with my brand. So far, things are going okay. What are you passionate about? If you had to sell something, but could choose what you wanted to do for a living, knowing that it would serve you. What would it be? I chose candles for the craft, science and art. Next may be soaps, etc. Anyhow I wish you the best. Sincerely, The Double Boiler.
