Story time: I was born with a congenital heart defect that I knew would require an aortic valve replacement at some point in my life. My cardiologist told me in May of 2021 that I was extremely close to needing a replacement valve, most likely in 2022. Knowing this was the case, I committed myself to getting into the best shape possible before my open heart surgery. On January 1st, 2022, I weighted 239.4 lbs as a 5’8” 31 year old man. When I checked into the hospital for my surgery on August 29th, 2022, I weighed 151 lbs and was in the best shape of my life. Nearly two months and a successful Ross Procedure later, I’m almost 100% off restrictions and am looking forward to progressing from weight loss focused exercise to muscle building as soon as I’m medically cleared. Will, thank you for all of your entertaining, hilarious, and extremely helpful videos. They’ve been critically important for me throughout this most transformative year.

I always wonder how these guys have so much time in the day to devote to 2 workouts, making these meals, plus work. With a family, working 40 hours, then helping the kids out, I'm lucky if I get 4-5 workout sessions in a week at the gym. The results are much slower, but in the past 2 years, I'm much closer to my goals.

I work full time, with a family, and my wife works mornings a few days of the week. I wake up at 6 am to go to the gym for an hour before returning home to feed my son, that's the only time I can consistently go. I could wake up later when she's off but I feel like that wouldn't work well going back and forth like that. I'm proud of myself considering 8 months ago I was a pothead and was high and did nothing all day and now I'm completely substance free minus caffeine. Idk the point of this but it takes a lot of commitment and discipline to stay in the gym in our situations, so be proud of yourself.

Guys dont compare to these guys. When you love something like these guys (and i) do, youll find the time. I was going to school full time and getting two workouts in because i LOVE it. I live for exercise...My english teacher also did as she had 180 students in highschool and yet, she'd still make time for her 6 mile runs 4am morning. Why? Because she loves it. When you love something, you have a will, and if you have a will, youll find a way, always.

You say if you ever died again like this you would want to do intermittent fasting but trust me it’s far from ideal and if you’re doing a Bodybuilding Competition Next year and you do for example a 16 hour fast every day you’re without question gonna show up with less muscle then if you eat 4-5 meals a day And spread your meals out. Great message at the end. Be sure to watch the entire video.

With her living quite far (over an hour by car with no traffic), she barely has the will to take care of herself as she often has no appetite or feels like she "doesn't deserve someone like me" and begins feeling sad and stops eating and drinking water, do you have any advice on how you managed to become healthier that i could pass on to her? Thats one sad comment. Nearly at any workspace there is a set of stairs a corridor somewhere. If not you can spend the extra five minutes you take in the bathroom 3 times a day doing bodyweight squats intead of fiddling with your phone. If you are super hardpressed for time and unmotivated to do such alterations there is nothing much to do about it. Find the loopholes start doing something and hopefuly the rest will follow.

It may not be an eating disorder but it can be body dysmorphia, Tristyn lee shows immense signs of this, always staying dangerously lean all year around and this makes you feel tired and hungry all day, every day. Your hormones are depleted, you have less energy to do anything else because all you focus on is how your body looks. With everything in life comes balance, working out naturally stimulates balance in the body regardless of what you eat. As you become fitter, your will not feel like eating a lot of fatty or processed foods. This happens as long as you are committed to exercise, you can truly eat what you want.

Great video Will, honest information and a wealth of slapstick one liners! 😀 That bit at the end was a great message. A lot of folks into fitness are constantly bombarded with the mentality of getting 'ripped' and "shredded" (both sound rather painful) but they don't realize that is primarily a state gotten into for a special purpose, such as a bodybuilding competition or a movie role. I would imagine trying to live in that zone 24/7 could potentially be quite unpleasant.

I managed to maintain that lifestyle for a year and my body got very lean, but as time went on, my body needed more fuel and i started feeling sluggish most of the time. It taught me that being lean, will not always feel great from the inside. I eat normally throughout the day now and i feel so much better. @@braydenpage5964 dude, you have the commitment to make diet work. I really recommend you slow down your weight loss and start focusing on exercise. It’s will be slower, but you won’t feel as much like death on a daily basis, and as you start exercising you will lose muscle mass per cut. Here’s the breakdown, when gaining weight, when working out properly on a mild calorie surplus, you gain weight and muscle. When you lose weight, you lose fat AND MUSCLE but how much muscle you lose depends on how fast you are losing weight and if you are working out as you lose weight. Every weight gaining and loss cycle should end up with you having more muscle than the prior. What you are doing is probably just destroying any muscle you gained as you went up in weight because the rate you are losing weight is just too fast. The typical recommended maximum weight loss rate is 1% per week. For you that is a max loss of 2 pounds per week. That’s a 1000 calorie deficit per day. No matter how you work the number you are considerably under that at 1200 calories at 6’2”

Story time: I am 13 (turning 14) and I have been doing the One Punch Man training everyday since October 11th 2022 and do Martial Arts on top of that to burn extra calories. I actually managed to gain a full step of abs, thick thighs, and vainy arms. My mindset was that I must keep doing it no matter how hard it gets and do it like my life depends on it. Getting stronger is the top priority for me and I am willing to be late for school if I didn’t complete the workout until my bus arrived. However, I do find it hard to get a healthy diet as I am only 13 and don’t know how to cook, the only restaurants where I live is McDonald’s and Burger King. Literally the only thing I eat is Beef Jerky and whatever fruits and vegetables I can find. For all those people out there finding it hard to become healthy, ripped, etc, remember this. You have to stick to it no matter what and you don’t get it easily.

Sir, I really appreciate the time and effort you put on this video. And I really respect the content you are creating, but I would like to point out a few issues I have with my own body transformation process.. While I do think that I always learn something from videos like these, I can't help but notice that (specially in these videos) you do dedicate a 60-75% of your life on the whole 'getting lean' process. While us viewers who are really struggling and trying our best to get our own results cannot simple dedicate this much time and space for this specific goal. It creates an illusion barrier that makes people like me lean towards the idea: which is something like 'If I could dedicate an entirety of my mindset on a daily basis to treat my body and my gym/diet process I would have better results.' As an example, people who have to spend a lot energy on financially sustaining their lives, meaning having a menial job or etc. CAN NOT have the opportunity to; lets say, walk 6400 steps just to go to the Starbucks and have a coffee. We can not cook the perfect flavored and kcal-wise ideal meal for every single meal based on our diet. What I would have loved to see in videos like these, being a college student who lost around 35 kgs and around 10% body fat in this last year, to see more options that could be replaced from one another. Like some interesting takeout options, fast cooked products, or perhaps some snacks. Which you did provide actually, the snack part at least. I don't want to sound obnoxious, whoever reads this comment. But it has really been a struggle for me to get where I am and still is a struggle to keep on grinding; a specially being a boy who spent a great portion of his life as an obese person. And I don't want to watch a video and suddenly fall into the feeling that 'I don't have the time and/or financial opportunities to achieve what these people do achieve.' . Because we all know that it's not actually true. Everyone has their own unique and personal journeys when it comes to fitness related process'. And we do have a lot more options on the table, despite social media contents seeming intimidating for some of us. Oh and one last thing; I do know that (as the description suggests) this is your profession and it is a very personal and professional routine that you wanted to share in this particular video. But nonetheless I wanted to share my own intake about these types of contents and perhaps make some people feel better about their own process' and not get intimidated by this video, as I used to get before. I wish a blessed day and better grinds to anyone who stumbles upon my comment here and hope I didn't offend anybody while typing all of these out. Peace and love to everyone!

At walmart, in the meal replacement section, they have these frozen meals brand named "Power Bowls" They are a low carb meal replacement, cost around 3-4 dollars and taste absolutely amazing. My daily diet consists of a coffee in the morning, one of those power bowls throughout the day whenever Im really hungry and fill in the big gaps of time with small snacks like fruit, almonds (most nuts will work, I get the wasabi flavored almonds) or a single garlic knot (I manage a pizza restaurant) every now and then, when I want something different, Ill make some type of egg meal like he made in the video, a romaine salad, no dressing, some chicken, tomatoes, avocado and a sprinkle of romano cheese, a progresso soup or some sugar free oatmeal with fruit. The biggest thing is really just making sure you're not intaking too many calories first and foremost, I lost 40 pounds in the last 4 months, the first two I was eating pizza everyday, just not a lot of it. I really started dedicating myself back to the keto diet when I decided I wanted to get serious not only about my weight, but also my health as well. If you want to lose weight quickly, that is when you need to start taking out a lot of carbs from your diet. Everything has a nutrition label! You make the decisions on what you purchase and put into your body, and yes, a carb free diet can be very bland, but you will feel great and have tons of energy, so long as you are not starving yourself with a lack of overall calories. Go and get yourself a bag of whatever your favorite nuts are (if you arent allergic) and carry those with you. Feeling kinda hungry? Grab a very small handful, 10 pieces? That will keep your metabolism rolling, and provide you with an amazing clean source of energy in the form of protein and good fats depending on the type of nuts until it's time for one of your bigger meals of the day.

In my case, I’m a college student going to school full time and working part time. i went from 305 to 235 from April of last year till now. Canned/packet tuna or salmon. High in protein, good snack, super quick. I find the salmon has a better texture especially if you’re losing weight since you probably won’t add mayo. Some hot sauce, maybe some spices, and I’ll eat it plain or on something like a rice cake or a low cal pita pocket. Canned crab is also something people usually don’t look at but i find its actually pretty tasty and it’s different if I get bored with salmon. Some hot sauce and old bay seasoning and I’m ready to eat. Using vinegar and citrus juices instead of oil based or cream based dressing, Greek yogurt or cottage cheese also works well if you’re trying to get protein in. Good for quick morning breakfast too and they can be either sweet or savory depending on what you add. You can also cook up a ton of eggs a few days in advance and store them in the fridge. I love egg whites with some all purpose seasoning. High protein, low calorie, low cholesterol. Filling in gaps with nuts, fruits, and veggies as well. Cheap things like celery and carrots can be cut up and put in a container to eat through the week or you can buy precut sticks if you have the cash. Also, broth. You can get tons of any kind of broth you want, chicken, beef, veggie and you can buy it in bulk at places like sams club or Costco, load it up with anything. A cup of low sodium broth is usually about 10 cals or so, season it up and drink it for some quick satiation or load it up with what you want. Today I put in some kimchi to make a rlly quick kimchi soup, only microwaved it together in a bowl for a minute, and I had the perfect side to my lunch. or you can use other vegetables, legumes/beans for fiber and protein, and you can pretty easily add in meat or fish though I typically don’t since I find it takes more time. Canned beans and frozen vegetables tend to be really efficient in general, microwave them and your good. had a bowl of peas and carrots with salt and pepper yesterday as a mid day snack.

I was overweight last year on late June weighing around 110kg at 1.75m height. I started intermittent fasting of 16 hours and then one meal a day of 22-23 hours fasting and still practicing it till today. I started a low carb diet earlier this year and on April 2022 my abs become visible and I am weighing below 84kg. Before all this happened I tried calories counting method and spread my meals throughout the day but I found out it was very tiring and complicated for me to be consistent. With intermittent fasting and low carb diet, it is easier for me to lose body fats and now I am weighing around 78kg while maintaining 16-18 hours intermittent fasting everyday now.

Currently starting my 5th month of cutting. Down 20 lbs, looking good however still waiting for the lower abs to come through, crazy grind. Was expecting to be done in 2-3 months TOPS.
