Thank you so much for your videos. Currently in the weaning process. I have done the same. I stopped day feeds and just keep the ones at night. He’s teething and soon going to daycare. It breaks my heart to think he won’t have the boob but he will have me and all my love and comfort to give to him. Anyway! Thank you so much for this. I am feeling very positive about this time around

​@@amrita6038I had this same issue when I was 8 months pregnant with my second my first was 20 months 😅 he refused until we tried the Haka bottle! It's designed similar to a boob lol after that he took his milk Now to wean the second 😅

The same thing happened to us this week. We started weaning and it seemed like there was a light at the end of the tunnel but then the baby got very cranky and inconsolable. He was teething and then he caught a cold. Back to the beginning we go. How long did the wait to start again after you realized he was teething?

I really appreciate this. My baby will be 1 in a few days and i am so ready for this journey to end bc I am tired and im ready to have my body and my life back. Im ready to be able to enjoy family outtings etc. Shes currently is teething so I feel like itll be hard especially with night time feedings. She wakes up a few times a night still. I have been feeding her more finger foods so she doesnt nurse as much during the day.

Heiii, thank you for all the advice you gave us❤ my son he will soon turn 3 and he is obsessed with boobs ( I don’t even have milk anymore) but he is still sucking like crazy days and nights. When i say no it’s enough he lose it and makes crazy tantrums 😮 I’m a bit hopeless i really have it enough and can’t find the way to stop. Thank you for this video. I'm a new mom and my baby is about to turn 1, and just like you I think I'm tired. It has been a wonderful journey. I initially planned to breastfeed for 4 months but the benefits of breastfeeding kept me going and I'm so grateful I did. I will definitely start gradually with the weaning.

Wow thanks alot for this video much needed. I decided to wean my 17mths baby boy today. He stop eating solids, formula and even snacks. All he wanted to fo when he got hungry was hang on the Bobbies. He also bites me cuase he is teething.

I’m going through the weaning process at the moment. We’re down to just nap time and bedtime which I know are the biggest ones. He’s 2 on Wednesday so I know he’ll understand what’s happening, and I know he’ll struggle with it but I’ve been holding off any potty training so that we can successfully wean and then focus onto the next challenge. Hi there.... We have successfully dropped even the night feeds, it was quite difficult but I would also ask my husband to be the one who puts her to sleep by rocking her and then at night when she wakes up we will rock her to sleep. So that's how we did it and she now sleeps through the night without nursing. For now just wait till baby is better and then resume, I know it's hard mommy, hang in there....

That’s funny. I have a 6 year old,3 year old and a 14 month old. All breastfed. My 6 year old I stopped breastfeeding him at 2 1/2, my first daughter 1 1/12 and I’m trying to wean my 14 now! I’m honestly not ready and I know she’s not of course. But I feel like I may need to because I’ll have to work soon and I feel a little bit of pressure from others. I’m also my first two have had tooth decay and I don’t want to have that issue with my last one…

Hello, my son just turned 3 today. I have a 3 month old baby girl. I’m so sick of breastfeeding my son. He’s been the hardest. Refused a bottle and only wanted breast. My baby (3month old) sleeps better and longer than my son! He wakes and wants to nurse but I tell him no! I’m so sick of it lol thank you for the tips I already don’t nurse during the day and sometimes not during the night but he’ll wake randomly in the middle of the night wanting to nurse ugh lol

@@igbo_girl still going strong he’s almost 4 fully potty trained and when I tell him “you can’t nurse, you are not a baby anymore” in a baby voice he goes “mama I’m a baby!” Haha Sometimes my 1 year old refused to breastfeed and rather drink water from a sippy cup to go to bed and my son is the one latched on ready to go to bed lol 😩 I gave up, I’m hoping once he starts school he will wean himself 😂

I’m still trying and it’s been hard to wean. My baby is now 20 months still only wanting to nurse and not eat or drink from a cup. My baby is also teething. I’m hoping that once the teeth finally come through it’ll get easier. I get worried bc I can tell my baby has lost weight. Idk what else to do.

I am struggling 😭, i want to wean her but again I'm scared not only for her but for myself too. I'v had to deal with mastitis and severe breast engorgement when she didnt suck for like a whole day-2days and the thought of possibly going through that again plus the rejection of food and cries i might get from her is quite scary. We stay just by ourselves...family is far far away from us and my partner alos lives far from us meaning I'll have to go through this all lone. Shes 14months and why i want to stop breastfeeding her is because she's refused any type of food, she's loosing weight and still only wants to suck. Its draining me and her as well. If you’re still in the stage of weaning do it gradually. This doesn’t let any engorgement happen so you just wean her off one session this week for example and then remove another feeding session the next week. Do not stop it all at once. Good luck❤️❤️

Yes you will miss all the breastfeeding. I get it's hard. But at least you had a time of breastfeeding. Your children are growing up and they will someday be adults. It's amazing children grow up so fast.

Im still breastfeeding my 2 year old son. I don't go to the bathroom or confine myself in a car just to feed. I got a nursing cover, carry it around with us and enjoy lunch with our family.

I wasn't ready to let her go yet, but she stopped like a pro! I still haven't started my period yet, though, and no positive pregnancy results yet either.

@kgaogelomogano I know what you mean. I felt that same way. Cutting it little by little helped me so much, though! And, there is no pressure to stop nursing either. The only reason I stopped was so that I could get pregnant again. The time will come when you both feel ready to stop, and it'll all work out! I hope this helps ease that stress :)

My almost 2 year old is on pediasure now but they want her doing 2 cans a day. Unless I stop nursing she won’t take the 2 cans a day

Same, same! my daughter is 27 months, we co-sleep and she is very attached. I just started working remotely a month ago and I go to school part time. It's gets very overwhelming. My husband takes care of her while I work, so for 8 hours I don't breastfeed and she eats food with him, but at night it's like she's starving lol. I have so many scabs on my boobs because she's very aggressive and she doesn't care where we are (especially at church). I give her regular milk but she has to be in the mood, sometimes she pushes it away. Whenever I think of weaning her I struggle a lot with guilt. I've tried putting aloe, the suckerbuster, on my nipples but she gets past the taste. I love bonding but I need my body back 😅

The struggle is real!!! My husband travels for weeks at a time. I feel so guilty trying to take away her comfort. Especially when she misses her “Dada”. This has become a form of torture. What started out as a beautiful, healthy bonding experience has become a routine that sometimes makes my skin crawl. Even saying this makes me feel bad. I am so overwhelmed with this struggle.

My doctor said that Benadryl will dry up your supply. Take Benadryl before bed.

I’ve been told putting a cabbage leaf in your bra dries it up. You can try that.
