    Another great instructional video by Tim the Turtle. I actually bought one of the bike stands and returned it because it was flimsy and I felt that using it was counterproductive. Thanks, Tim!

    Your welcome! For the bike stand, I wonder if you got the 110lb version or the stand that is only rated for 55lbs? Either way the stand works well for me. Have a great weekend!

    Nice Tim, Thank you! I have used a leaf blower to dry mine off to prevent water from seeping in somewhere it shouldn't go. I hose it off (lightly) after riding at the beach to remove any salt.

    Good tips Tim! So far, at 260 miles on mine, just a dry cloth has done the job for taking off light dust, but I'll use your tips when it comes time for a good rinse. Unfortunately, I don't have a rig like yours, thus when I need either the front or rear raised, I have hooks in the ceiling of my garage (used for a canoe I once had) and two 'tie down straps' where I have two on the ceiling hook, and for the front, add one to each side of the handlebar, and raise the bike up via the tie down straps I use for an atv we have. On the rear, I do the same, but hold the bike up by the rear rack, with one strap on the outer part of the rack. I don't leave it held up for extended periods, but it works well for cleaning, or if I want to spin the tire for whatever reason.

    Hi there. I just watched this great video. Thank you!. My question is the following. Knowing that these type of bikes weight more than 70 lbs. Can you tell me if your tripod stand is a good one? If not, is there any of these bike stand holders in the market I should buy? Where can I buy the electric cover lid made by you?

  • @TinkeringTurtle

    @TinkeringTurtle

    Жыл бұрын

    The Bikehand bike stand works well for the heavier bikes. The only problem is you have to get the 70lbs bike up into the clamp. I put one of the wheels up on a block or in my case a rolling stool, so I don’t have to lift all the weight. once up the stand is nice and stable. Of course, but the limiting factor will naturally be the length of your cables and wires. If they are too short for the height you want, then you will have to extend the cables or wires to allow full height. Here is a link to the video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nn6uz6OjkZCngM4.html

    Nice! I measured the steerer tube and Handle bar diameter at the bike stem with a set of calipers to get the proper dimensions. I imagine you could reach out to Esoteric and ask them what the steerer tube diameter is and what the handle bar diameter is at the bike stem. I imagine they are … probably?… standard these days, but I don’t know for sure. Hope this helps!

    I would get as much off as you can with a dry rag or something. Then depending on how close to the electronics you are use a soft bristled brush with some soapy water to loosen what is left. Just take a good look and make sure there aren’t any missing seals or anything like that.

  • @TinkeringTurtle

    @TinkeringTurtle

    2 жыл бұрын

    You can purchase a charger that has a higher amp rating than the 2amp oem charger. But I would give you a couple cautions. First the batteries last longer when charged slowly. Second you should absolutely research the male DC bullet connector and find out how many amps they recommend for it.

    I have a question concerning battery charging. 8-9 hours for a full charge is such a long time. Can only ride bike once a day if I deplete the battery. Is there any after market fast chargers that you know of for the Himiways? Don't know why they didn't just make a faster charger. Like 4 hours. There's bigger bikes out there with bigger batteries that only take 4 hours to charge

  • @TinkeringTurtle

    @TinkeringTurtle

    2 жыл бұрын

    I know some bikes have a 3amp charger vs the 2amp charger that come with the Himiway. I am not certain if the barrel connector that is used in these batteries can handle higher amperage or not. You might want to do a little research on that. The batteries also do better over time if you charge slower. The Luna charger will allow you to change the charge amperage. This may help, but again make sure the barrel connector is rated for the amps you select. lunacycle.com/luna-charger-48v-advanced-300w-ebike-charger/ if you do go with the Luna charger, this is the xt60 to barrel connector you will need. amzn.to/3v2a69o

    2 жыл бұрын

    @theone2be33 ok, I almost don’t want to suggest this without you doing the NECESSARY research about how many amps the barrel connectors are rated for. But on aliexpress.com you can find chargers for 48v lithium batteries that are 3amp or more. The amperage determines how fast you battery charges. (17.5ah / 2amp charger = 9hrs to fully charge.) (17.5ah / 3amp charger = 6hrs to fully charge) you get the idea. On aliexpress I found this 3amp charger, that has the correct connector (5.5x2.1 dc) for the Himiway battery.
