Maybe they down vote cause 1 they don't like the sound or possibly they do not like her process her choice of sounds. I didn't down vote it but could say can't say I like her process. It's fine for her. I don't use samples and throw stuff around I always use a rythmn or solo melody myself. Again different people do different things but this seems more like it's all about the computer at the centre and expensive equipment. I know a ton of musicians who use next to nothing to write their songs . Again im only showing why some people might down vote it .

Yet again, wonderfully selflessly insightful. RCK, it’s not just your beautiful songwriting and your enthusiasm for process, it’s also about how much you give back. Song writing and production is so personal, private, sacred even; yet you have allowed people to experience that place and that journey with you - not many people are gracious to the extent that they are prepared to share that level of themselves. Truly inspiring.

I've been using Ableton for a few years now, but it's always great to see how light-hearted Rachel describes the process of making music. Sometimes you just have to think less and just do it. I usually start in session view too but I'm often quite tense and Rachel makes it all look so easy and relaxed. Great video!!!

I remember when the first plugins came out. My god there are so many to chose from now it can be overwhelming. I write on guitar and so understanding how chords can interconnect is my way of finding melodies. I am now learning piano and so it is mainly just learning shapes as I know enough theory. Having said that there is a mountain of inspiration with DAWS and plugins to compliment or even write in a very different way. It's a never ending journey and so much fun.

Thank you so much for this breakdown. It helps a lot especially for new Ableton users since everything is a bit overwhelming in the beginning. I already learned a lot through KZread videos and even made my own beat just by trying stuff out, experimenting with chords and notes. It's good to know that you work similarly. I was a bit afraid about making a melody since my music theory knowledge is a bit dusty nowadays. I hope Scaler 2 can help me with that as well, at least with finding new chord progressions. Also, "You can pretend" is one of my favorite songs of yours! Keep it up! ;D
