    Regarding Keyboards, I personally find it very motivating to have my rgb keyboard set to no lighintg unless I actually touch keys. This makes me want to press keys to light them up and have a very satisfying effect on your feeling when you press a button. I love it when I type a text and my keyboard slowly begins to light up and if I stop typing the keys go dark again. This makes me want to sustain that glowing light of the keyboard and type even more. Of course you don't really look at your keyboard while typing that much, but it is actually very fun to just see it in the corner of your eye :)

    That low-profile keyboard really makes a difference. What I've really noticed is that when I use an apple keyboard, with the touch-tap kind keyboard like Apples, I type much faster and accurately. The mechanical keyboard might be good for gaming (as the gamers say) but i find the travel distance to be extremely in-accurate, and sometimes you can make mistakes by pressing half the distance or 2/3 of the distance of the key and it doesn't register. With an Apple keyboard, I don't find this to be a problem. Also typing with a mechanical keyboard is really tiring to have to press all the way down. Your fingers literally exhaust from pressing the keys.

  • @RR-ho3td

    @RR-ho3td

    It's actually dependent on your preference and muscle memory. I type the fastest on cherry profile brown switches. I struggle on the 915s cause I tend to doubt if it did register or not. I can type well on blues, but not consistently cause it's way too noisy.

    Except on a mechanical keyboard, you DONT have to bottom out and press all the way down. 2/3 of the press should already be registered and bottoming out is just extra time which is your own flaw, not the keyboards. But regardless, it's different for everyone.

    After you reach around 70-80WPM typing speed by just practicing normally, 2 important tips I can also give are: 1. You should read ahead, meaning you should already read the next words you are gonna type, before you reach them. In another word, You’re reading speed should be ahead of your typing speed. 2. When you reach to more advanced levels(Above 80), you shouldn’t type words as in “Letter by Letter”, when you read a word you have to deploy the entire word instantly. Or in another word, don’t type letters, type words!

    There are two main secrets to fast typing. One is rhythm. The other is 'muscle memory' which means the same as practicing enough (over months) for your hand to know were they keys are without looking. The old way was to learn like this (to a voice): aaa,bbb,jjj,hhh,ooo, etc. After that you start with small words: and, the, how, job, car, etc. and work your way up. Also include numbers and basic symbols that are on all keyboards of your country in with words. After you know your keys, type to a musical beat, this is the most fun and best way to increase your speed.
