Probably one of the very few retro triumphs that has seen real off-road action! Really cool!!

I am enjoying your recount of your adventure... I will keep watching I also like the way your tank ended up looking after a couple of days --> I think it looks awesome half blue/ half hand painted 👍

Well done mate - it looked like a lot of fun. I hope it helped jog you out of your state of mourning. 16.30 - what a sad sight! And to think you were pissed off about the little dent in your brand new tank! Looking forward to more.

I have no experience in off road driving, I wonder why you had an accident so many times? I regularly beat Itchy Boots, Ride Me Five, Charly Sinewan... They have accidents here and there, but not much. What is the difference between their driving and yours? I'm asking because I have a crazy idea to drive an old Tomos moped from Europe to Africa, and everyone tells me it's a stupid idea that I'll never reach Africa. It is about 2800 km from my country to Africa. And if I have so many accidents with a moped, I will probably never see Africa I'm waiting for your next adventure in Africa

Honestly, experience. But also some factors like being tired (lacking sleep) or being hungover are all reasons why I would crash. Not anymore though, I've learned it the hard way and can mentally focus better when my mind wonders off the road. Who are these people that are telling you not to do it? Have they done anything similar or do they prefer to give opinions from the comforts of their own homes? Go for it dude, everything is possible and people have done crazier things than cross Africa on a moped. You'll learn on the job to ride off road just by doing it...

A little piece of advice should you find yourself riding in the desert again. A white helmet and white clothing will make a huge difference in your comfort. The white helmet especially. That black will cook you. Cool video and adventure though!

Definitely. But I'm not always very practical, just went with the helmet I already had and same one after crossing many other deserts - so I learned nothing.

@@eddiertw no worries - just a suggestion. I can appreciate that in the UK black gear makes sense. I live at high altitude in the southwestern US. Our summers are baking hot (low to mid 30s C) and winters are colder with occasional snow (-5-10 C) so my winter kit is black helmet and clothing while my summer gear is typically all white. The white helmet was a game changer for the summer though. Definitely helps keep your brain a little cooler to help you riding safe and making good decisions.

@@pbourdon231 I hear you and that's why I'm agreeing. Been on the road for 2 years now full-time with a black helmet and it's a bad idea. 3 weeks in the Gobi Desert and I fried my brains for sure, you can probably cook an egg on it at peak sunlight. A neat trick I learnt is to wear a cotton t-shirt over your armour (this might seem counterintuitive) but soak it in water as it will retain moisture for longer compared to other materials. Ryan F9 also suggests putting ice cubes in your pockets and let them melt, haven't tried that yet. And... breathe through your nose - not the mouth, to preserve fluids!
