I love Goodnotes! I have my textbooks in too, so I can cut and paste from it. I love that there's one price for all devices, whereas Notability requires a separate app for my MacBook (I do have both now after buying them separately in separate sales). My other favourite app is Procreate! You can also have a third app open on top of your screen, which is great for your notes. I used this during exam revision to note which Qs I needed to take special note of.

One thing I've heard is that the bigger screen helps make the split screen function a little more manageable. Would you have gone for the larger iPad with regards to this feature, or do you find that the smaller screen works well? Thanks!

Yes and GoodNotes do that too. I think GoodNotes organized notes better than notes app because of notebook and folders

Remember to allow saving them in gallery, in Notes app they get this weird white frame

For your iPad case, you can flip the whole thing upside down with the triangle still in place, have your screen unlocked, it'll flip and it'll be a perfect angle to write on.

Idk if anyone said this yet but I have a similar case and if you fold back the cover and then tilt up the section closest to the outer edge of the flap you can prop the iPad on it for a lower angled mode and it’s great for writing on

I don’t have the nicest writing and I write in cursives but still Goodnotes can detect the words whenever I searched for them! Never tried Notability but been a loyal user of Goodnotes for almost 3 years and really did not regret buying it! Worth the money. P.S. so much cool features!!!

Should I get a iPad before getting a laptop? I’m very indecisive but I know for my new classes using a iPad would work wonders since I have to take my notes digitally and turn them in

My thoughts are : If u don’t need specific app/ program for ur Uni/school... then u could‘ve get through with just an iPad. If u only need it for note taking and typing . But honestly.. just buy the the ipad8 and save the Buck to buy cheap laptop/computer to help you with other task

Tha depends on thz programs you have to use for school. You could also spend a Lil extra and get a 2 in one windows PC which gives you the benefit of a full laptop and a tablet.

With this being a 10 month old video. As of NOW, would you recommend using an iPad Pro as a laptop for a freshman? I am finally starting my path in the University and honestly I went into the military service first, then got experience in working fields. So you can say I’m foreign to school now. So what are your thoughts on this? I got an iPad Pro (2018) with a keyboard and pen for $500. So instead of spending more money, would you think this is good for now?
