I love taking notes on my ipad as well and I love how simple your style is! If you plan on studying your notes from your iPad I suggest using a black paper to reduce digital eye strain and increases the ipads battery life because the page isn't so bright. There are some slight adjustments since the highlighter doesn't work too well but straight pen lines and underlining work for me if i am studying from my iPad. Also if you print your pages at the end i suggest changing the paper to plain before you print. It makes the notes look sooooooo nice since all your lines are straight because of the grid. Hey Raya! Love the video. Goodnotes is amazing isn't it?! Just thought you might want to know- you can change what the lasso tool attaches to only your 'Handwriting' and not the 'Text Box' that you draw with the Shapes tool. You hold down the lasso tool and the options come up - then you can decide your preferences! Hope that helps (:

Thank you for these tips! Can the thickness be changed in writing width? I’m used to writing with an ultra fine sharpie. I just love the friction and the way my handwriting looks with a sharpie. 😍. Your handwriting is beautiful.

I have one too and I read that it’s just dead skin protecting your finger from the friction that happens when u write with too much pressure. I also read that you can get rid of it with home supplies like Water, Baking Soda, a file and other things. Moistening your hands is extremely important for any method with home supplies. But there also are creams and stuff to get rid of it

i completely agree. note taking on the ipad is so nice. I've only had mine for about two weeks now but it has COMPLETELY changed the way I do school and take notes. i'm now a paperless student ☺️

Open Notes?? LOL I wish, my school does online proctored exams meaning there is a camera and audio recording of you while you are taking the exam. It gets reviewed by a professor at the school and if you even graze your eyes in the wrong direction you bet you are getting flagged and an email from the school to review the video with you so you can explain why you might have looked *slightly* to the left. Also for exams that we are allowed scrap paper it can only be one sheet and we have to show the camera the front and back of it as well as do a room scan so that they can see we don't have any notes on the wall or anything. When the exam is over, we have to tear apart the scrap paper in front of the camera. It honestly all makes my test anxiety so much worse...

Thank you so much for explaining in detail and exactly how you write your notes. You took the time to explain it in great detail specifically how to do this and what you can do. I am a visual learner so I become very confused if I don’t have any full depth explaining or someone who is actually doing it. I have the 6th generation I got it last year so now I’m a little bit bummed about that I didn’t wait until this new one. But I am going to get the apps and other things soon. ♥️

SAME I just realized!! I really thought I was the only one holding my pen weirdly and having a callus there! 🥺

I’m looking into the 12.9’ or the 11’in iPad and is the 11’in enough screen space for split screen? I use split screen a lot and I have a big concern with the screen like is the words too small and can you even see enough on your screen?

I've been having the iPad pro 11' since this summer and in my opinion it is enough, however, if u usually use the split screen feature holding vertically the iPad it is kind of small but honestly who uses it like that lol

If you only do it for aesthetics, you could just decorate the notes on Word. That's what I do, and it's way too much faster :D

I noticed that the apple pencil case that you are using doesn't have a hole on the side of it. Can you still use the double-tap feature of the Apple Pencil 2?
