Hey girl! I found this video so so helpful! I didn’t really look at nursing content this way to this extent since the wording and questioning is so new to me right now. I failed my first exam and did better on the second and I think it’s something that definitely comes with time and I will be utilizing all of your tips! I’m going to try concept maps!! I love the idea and I think it will help. We have tests every Saturday so on sundays I will start making those and studying throughout the week that way it leaves me time for practicing! I’ll update you on next exam! ☺️ thank you so much!!

I just stumbled across your channel this week. I love your videos! I like how you explained your study habits. You are way more organized than me. I feel so overwhelmed every week when we get our class map. For our class we are given like 5 chapters a week to read, and in lecture it is all discussed. There are no power points or papers handed out to lead the class discussion on, so that makes it hard. I learn better from videos and power points. But I have started to do like what you said, make a detailed outline of all the key points and that really helps. But I am going to do the 4 important things for each. I think that will help me more. Again, I love your videos! You are so inspiring, and it makes me feel like I can actually get through the nursing program. Can't wait to see more of your videos! And Congratulations on being engaged!! Thats so exciting!

Hello Mallory! I wish I had come across your video before getting dismissed from my nursing program this past fall semester. I had made it to my junior year, but once I got into med Surg 1 and pharm 2 it pretty much went downhill for me. Part of it was bc at the beginning of my semester I had lost a family member, so my dad and I had to make an emergency trip to his home country for the viewing and funeral. Didn't get a chance to study and failed my first exam for each class. Then after that no matter how much time I spent studying, it just seemed like I was trying to self teach myself. The med Surg instructor just read off from the pps word for word, and even though she would say this is good to know or need to know sometimes the "good to know" would still appear on the exams. Then with my pharm class it was only 1 hr class once a week, but it was so distracting that I felt like I learned nothing. Plus for that particular class it was taught by a different person. Needless to say my school dismissed me bc they only allow you to fail 1 class no matter what year you are in. Now I'm planning to do the adn/asn RN degree, may be more hectic, but I feel that I can do it. I mean I made it to my junior year for the BSN degree, which means that I'm not entirely stupid 😂. Since I still have my ATI books I'm planning on making my study guides ahead of time so that if I'm accepted in the adn/asn program for this fall I'll be better prepared God permitting.

Definitely takes a lot of commitment so always stay relaxed and never get too stressed out would be my advice. Awe well I hope all goes well with NCLEX as well. I know this is a really old video that popped up on my fyp. I noticed in your study guide that it says malpractice is touching w/o consent. I was in the hospital recently; and, long story short, I said “no, stop!” Multiple times to a physician who did not listen and I froze. I could tell he felt bad afterwards, and he wasn’t touching a private part of my body, but still… the female Dr with him said absolutely nothing. I was sobbing afterwards. I don’t even know who the physician was bc there was only one name in the note and that was not the dr that was in the room when it happened - I was able to look at a picture of the dr whose name was on the note. I didn’t do anything except tell a few of my other Drs and RN’s who did apologize but nothing came of it. Is that considered malpractice?
