How I Study AI & ML With a Full Time Job & You Can Too

Hi friends! I am going back to school for AI and Machine Learning. I have been self-teaching myself on these subjects and felt that it was time to enroll in a postgraduate program. I am still working full-time on top of studying, and I wanted to share with you how I will be managing my time. I hope this will help anyone who is interested in finding balance (okay, maybe that doesn't fully exist), but at least getting closer to it when wanting to upskill while also working full-time.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you so much for your insights. I am 52 and just finishing up my CS degree in a few months. I am always looking for strategies to improve my study habits for in or out of school. Learning is lifelong. The difference between you going back to school and not is that one year from now, you will have something you wouldn't have otherwise. I love your work!

You can mention which industry or field uses which technique in terms of AI/ML? For example, I didn't know that there's this method called "Reinforcement Learning" and it's being used in the gaming industry. It's important detail for me at that time. Because I would like to work as Data Scientist in the gaming companies :) If it is a technical example, I think you can find a way to generalize the terms and everything.

Just a caveat with this from someone who already did a Master in a smilar field. Unless you are very interested in statistics and patient enough to get to the juicy part of ML and AI, most of the time you will be learning a lot of outdated models and early theories. Don't be discourage that you don't understand anything because people surrounding will most likely do not know anything as well. A lot of buzzwords you will have to learn but in the end if you filter them out, it's very simple and most of it are just maths and logics.

The first step in every successful investment is to establish your goals and risk tolerance, a task best undertaken with the assistance of a financial advisor with extensive financial market knowledge like Fergus Waylen

I don't want to put a figure to how much i've made doing that but let's just say it's more than enough to make trading worthwhile. And when i say worthwhile, i mean it.

Python is the major language. Other languages are used to but ultimately they have to be able to play in the Python ecosystem.

@@kevinmcfarlane2752 thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it. I had to switch degree programs recently and I have been seeing this trend towards data science in business arena. I'm starting a data science degree program with a concentration in deep learning. I really like the idea of working with large language models and machine learning. Do you have any more suggestions or advice for me?
