A walkthrough of the different methods and apps I use to organise my phd thesis notes and tasks! This might look like a lot but it really helps me to stay organised and be able to plan out my phd work.

Notion is great 🙌
im just a pkm nerd for no other reason than i like to use all the things lol but for me when I actually have to do stuff i use todoist and obsidian, and google keep for quick capture (how it works with google assist is awesome)

Use all the things! That's the spirit 😄 I've never tried using google keep but seems like a good option for noting down things on the fly!

@@yana.rya_____ i can just say "hey google make a note that x" and uts in my google keep app as a note its great
I tried going full Notion but it didn't really work out. I think for my second year of PhD I'll use a mix of Google Calendar, Notion (to make a master to do list, projects, keep notes etc) and my bullet journal (for my daily todos). The google sheets is a good idea too, but if possible I would try to keep it within Notion 🤔 Anyway, great organisation, good luck with your PhD!

That sounds like a good way to do it! Yeah, I think I could probably integrate my google sheets within notion, might play around with that 😅 Thanks! Good luck with your PhD as well! 😀
I just started my PhD career. I use remnote to do all this stuff. It doesn't matter the app. We can do all this customization in simple google sheets according to our convenience. But it only matters how effective we can use all this app. That is most imp. you gave me some idea about how I can organize. Thanks 🙏 Another note, where do you get all this time to do all this? hahahaha 😂.... It has been 5 months for me. most of my day goes in doing the experiment. How do you manage? any suggestion

I agree! Glad this video helped. In terms of time management - i find that I'm able to fit in the phd (and paid work) during mon-fri 9-5 hours. In part this is because my uni expects phd to take 40 hours per week but also most of my data can be collected online/without needing me to spend time on it. But that being said having a clear task list helps and boundaries (I don't work weekends/late evenings)

@@yana.rya_____ oh I see. But in my case, I have to book slot for the instrument. So, it is like someday, I have more work and someday, I dont have anything.
