Which one is more tough - 1. Photography. 2. Bringing Dan in front of the camera.
Yes please do more of these. Your kindness and openness to learning photographers like myself is so much appreciated. Salutations from NY
You have so much talent, Julia. How you don’t have AT LEAST 2M subscribers is beyond me. You are fantastic. Thank you for sharing your experience ❤️

I love your style of filming! Your personality is calm and realistic I’m learning so much from just your videos alone. Yes more blog/travel with a educational piece is great. Loved the Fiji series💕💕💕👏🏾👏🏾
Though I'm new to your channel, I'm learning a lot. Your teaching style--especially since it's backed by real-world, professional experience--is great and much appreciated. Plus your calm and happy personality makes watching your videos relaxing as well. For this video style--vlog/instructional hybrid--ya, I totally dig it.

Very cool! Liked how you showed one picture with background in focus and foreground blurry, then next photo out of same perspective with foreground in focus and background blurry. Very teaching and inspiring! Thanks for posting this cool video!
She was making me so nervous sitting on the dock with her camera in her lap! It kept wiggling and I was squirming

Very refreshing video compared to many I have seen! Beautiful Fiji indeed and lucky you to be able to combine work with pleasure. Nice of you to share the beginnings of your career and wish you all the best in its growth. Everyone should follow their dreams .. you are a good example of that!
Great video, I really like the way you advice us about photography, I am just starting photography job/hobi, and every advice is always welcome :) Greetings from Bosnia and Herzegovina :)
Awesome value in this video! I love the camera movement and I think if you guys like using those really quick pans you should give speed ramping a try.
Your story was really interested to hear as a photographer. Also, I love the shots you took in Fidji and the tips you gave. Sometimes I run out of inspiration when I want to take pictures of my island (New Caledonia) so it might help me a lot too. :)
I'd highly encourage these type of videos in future from you. I really love your work and your videos do encourage people like us. much love from Sri Lanka. Thanks a lot

Oh my I love you girl and your style, I want you as my wedding photographer when the day comes 💖
I must be your only subscriber actively avoiding starting a business, even a part time one on the side. I give all my digital prints away to a charity, I was told on Thursday how much they have raised which I was really pleased about, and my analogue images are just for me and my family. In truth I most play about with them in the darkroom and then throw the prints out. I don’t post anywhere online, and I won’t take on any commitments as I have a fear of letting people down. I told someone that I’d get her some images of the swans from last year's migration then promptly got pneumonia...again. Great video as always, I enjoyed hearing your journey and you and Dan (Den?) look a great couple. I have no idea why anyone would give you a thumb down for this video, you did exactly what the title said. What exactly is freeing to death in Australia?

That's so sweet that you give away your prints to charity! If you like printing photos in the darkroom, maybe you could get a little folder to collect them and have a flick through them in a few years time to see all the photos you were working on :) Or perhaps you already do that! And thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the video. Freezing in Australia honestly isn't that bad.. it doesn't even snow here haha but sometimes the winds can really pick up throughout the winter which makes it really hard to want to go outside!

Julia Trotti The charity is incredibly important to me, when I acquired my condition I lost my job working in a forensic learning disability which I loved. I just wasn’t physically capable of working with some very dangerous people. With that went a lot of my self worth and I was advised to do voluntary work at the charity because of my law degree and background. Not only did I get my self worth back, but I got employed as an advisor for two days a week which I can manage and best of all it’s where I met my wife. Giving them my prints, no matter how much they raise is insignificant compared to what they have given me. Not very photography related but it explains why I give my prints away. The colour and 120 negs are all scanned into my computer, it’s only the black and white 35mm I play around with.
New subscriber, love the style and format of this video!
I support the travel-tutorial style video. I enjoyed this a lot!
Great vid guys, well put together. Looks a lovely place.
New to your..videos.. well impressed.. thanks for your experienced information.. i am new to photography.. have to learn many things from you.. keep going .. thanks..
Thank you Julia for sharing your experience.
I’m really loving your KZread channel! Thanks for sharing for everyone! I have a question for you- As someone who wants to start a photography business but is on a budget to start- what kind of camera do you recommend? And what lens do you think are a “must-have”? I have a Canon Rebel and a 50mm lens.
Loved this style of video! Great job!!
Great tips as usual Julia! What a beautiful location
This is my favorite video on KZread. Love you
I love your vlog style.... keep on doing that !!! What I love most about your videos that its a nice counter style to all the guys with all the gear. You seem to shoot everything with 35mm. What a lovely approach...

I just rented the same lens for next weekend for myself to try it out and I own the 5DMIII already. So much looking forward to that weekend.
Loved watching this vlog. I love seeing what you get up to while your working and always love your advice. Scenery is gorgeous! I'm very slowly getting started in business, probably doing it the hard way cos I'm not learning the ropes from another photographer, just taking photos for people as and when I get the chance. How do you deal with the admin side like insurance, contracts, finances, etc?
Love waking up to a new upload! Will you do a walkthrough of your photography contract?

Mango Street ads are so annoying and square space is expensive for a 17 year old just starting out trying to figure out the best money saving way to start my photo business.
Ever since I found your channel I can’t stop watching lol
Old Hawaiian saying “Never face your back against the ocean” and the tree is called a Lauhala tree used to make hats. Love your videos Aloha
very good video as always. It will be useful when I start photography business (bookmarking). ps: that boat on the left side of the frame is bugging me so much
Hello dear...ive learn more from you...and yaeh now i just start promoting free photoshoots to improve my skills...tq so much for sharing this ....
Loving your work!!!!!
I really liked this way of video! Beautiful views
Really great advice and great video!
I love this kind of videos!
Loved this video and style!
I just started this summer. I’m doing some of my friend’s senior pictures
Motivational video as always ☀️ I really love taking landscape photos and I'm currently trying to build a community on Instagram, but I am afraid, that I will never make any money with it. I really love being outside and capturing the beauty of this planet but I feel like with "general" photography, that is not done for specific people (like headshots, weddings, baby showers, etc.) It is way harder to turn it into a full time job 😕
Yes loved the video 😍👍🏻
luv u guys, thank you!
35mm is such a nice focal length And job wise: I hope I never get a permanent contracted job. I hate being bound to something for a long time unless I'm sure I'll like it. I just wanna free lance and your advice is great!
loved this vlogg!!!
Love all your videos! Just wondering, where do you get your video Audio from? :) keep up the great work!
I noticed you are using your lens wide open when doing landscapes I would use an aperture of f8 for better depth of field and sharpness.
Love the way you work im also a beginner photographer
I like photography and I might invest in a cannon rebel t6 and a 50mill f 1.8 lens
Can you please do a video on how to best hold a camera for the best stability and avoid camerashake?
I love your photers, Julia!
