    nah, he has a curly 3a/3b hair texture so of course it’s gonna loc. The only textures that won’t naturally lock is 1A-2C because it’s too straight.

    Very relatable for me, I used to have a head full of curls and the maintenance would kill me. It just was too much but having short hair wasn’t for me either. Other than spirituality that really drew me to start free forming ! Best decision I’ve made for my hair !

    Your locs are dope I liked your video and subscribed. My hair is thick and starting to freeform into locs again. I had long freeform locs, but cut them off because I wasn't taking care of them by not washing them. Now I'm taking good care of my hair and letting it do its own thing. I just wash and go, eat healthy, drink plenty of water, get sunlight. I also just got done using rain water on my hair yesterday and day before yesterday, and now my hair is looking better than ever. My grandma be saying to me that my hair don't look right because I'm letting it freeform. She wants me to get the twisted locs, and I tell her, "I'm trying to be myself I'm not trying to be like everyone else." Anyway awesome video man.

Others asked why I did this because I had "good" hair, I corrected them by saying I still do, lol. I also have bad hair days and then other days it looks really good but that just how hair is anyway. But yeah, keep rockin it!

    I know u did air quotes indicating the inaccuracy of the term "good hair" but just hearing the term dropped my spirits. Curl patterns range from "tightly "coiled curls" to "loose curls" to waves. All types are "good". Your hair falls under "loose curls". So what your people meant to say was, "Your curl pattern is too loose to loc" But any hair type can loc 😉. Pls use the term "loose curl pattern" instead of "good hair" ❤ Great vid! Nice locs!

  • @ParadiseJones

    @ParadiseJones

    I hear you but I dont see why your “spirit”would drop🤔. When I said that I was referring to what other people would tell me hence the “air quotes” and I also remember saying that everyone’s hair can loc , some faster then others but thanks for watching 👍🏽

    @@ParadiseJones Yes king. I was clear that you were referring to what other people were saying. I watched your video with my 12 year old daughter who has kinky curly hair and wants thick locs like yours. She asked me, "What did the people mean by his hair is too good to loc?" Explaining what they refered to as good hair inherently meant teaching her that they consider her hair bad. That didn't feel good for both of us. That's why my spirit dropped. If you had just said people thought your hair was too straight to loc you would have made the point without the negative. Sharing in love because I know you are positive❤ You are a cutie patootie and your locs are FIRE! Peace and blessings❤
