Hi Folks, in this weeks video I show how I sewed my halter bodice & tiered skirt summer maxi dress 💛🖤💛. If you’ve been following my instastories you will know I’ve been working on recreating a dress I seen online👍 This is the result, it’s super quick and straightforward to make and to wear, delightfully light and breezy👌👌👌 I absolutely love how this has turned out 💛🖤💛 I hope you enjoy. This dress has turned out to be sooo gorgeous... and it totally flatters your body. I totally love it. Would it be possible for you to show us how to draft the beautiful halter bodice pattern that you used? It's such a lovely pattern. I've seen thousands but never liked any. Yours is just outstanding. Thanks in advance

I love your patterning videos, but it would be great if you could do the patterning (changes to the bodice block, etc), and then the making of in one video.

Great dress Susanne - the fabric you chose is lovely for the gathers and overall drape of the garment. Your neatness and attention to the little details is lifting the game of sewers all over the world. Thankyou!

Sorry I must ‘steal’ the way you turned that very thin tie with the darning needle. Best idea I have ever seen. Thank you so much. 😬❤️

Have you ever thought of using searing elastic to gather a large area of fabric it makes it so much easier just gather the material then stretch along where it’s meant to go and then I pin at intervals along the length. After I have stitched it’s easy to cut the searing elastic out of the seam allowance like you would gathering stitches. I find this a lot easier and the gathers are more even because I’m useless at gathering evenly.

Another breath taking dress!! I bet it delicately dances in the wind. Some gold or silver beads would be beautiful on the ends; not too heavy or they might untie the bows. Have you ever tied a small knot on the end of the ties that are being sewn into the neck? I have not sewn bias cord/ties as fine as you have just made nor sewn this cording in at a neck line. But i liked this idea when i ran across it.
