How I Save Money And Budget As A 20 Year Old Part-Time Working College Student
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hi everyone! Today's video is me showing you how I budget and save money at 20 years old, all while being a part-time worker and college student at the same time. I got into budgeting and saving money this new year and it has changed my life. Since learning how to budget and save money I have eliminated so many problems I was having with myself in terms of my mental health, which I speak on in this video. If you are looking for a way to save money, this system is definitely a great one. You can also use this method if you are a salary paid worker, but since I am a part-time worker my system may look a bit different from yours. The budgeting system I use is called the "sinking fund" method, and if you stay til the end of the video you'll find out all there is to know about this money saving method.
Q&A:
How old are you?
- 20
Where are you from?
- Los Angeles, CA, born & raised
What camera do you use?
- Canon EOS M50
What is your fave social media site?
Instagram... which mine is @kami.xcx ;)
This video is not sponsored, even though I wish Digit would because I love their app.

Hey everyone! I just posted an updated budgeting video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/m3yavK2Opcuenso.html Also wanted to thank you all so much for the love on this video!! I really appreciate it.
I think it is so important as a pet owner to have an amount of money put aside for surgery or other possible emergencies, we never know when they are going to get sick and as pet owners we choose to be responsible for another life and need to be ready at all times to help them

“Only $13 an hour at the time” That’s how much I’m getting paid now & I was excited 🥺
I've just winged it for years, always earned more than my outgoings, never saved anything, once told my girlfriend she could have anything she wanted but I needed two weeks notice lol, now I've got a kid, run a car regular long distance, and a recent upgrade to the house, finding myself very restricted, that's how I stumbled here, ima watch again n try make sense of it lol, I'm definitely needing to do something like this. Thank you :)
Hi! This video took HOURS to process so that's why It's going up on a Friday instead of Thursday like it was supposed to :). Thank you so much for watching & don't forgot to turn your quality to 1080p for a smoother looking video lol.

I enjoyed watching this, thanks for explaining it so helpfully. I think our brains probably work in quite a similar way actually- you've given me some good tips for my budgeting!
hey, this was so useful to watch and easy to understand! i'm also a college student working part-time and i've been really trying to save my money efficiently, instead of just putting amounts of money from my current account into my savings when i feel like i can. definitely gonna try to put this into practice from now on :) you've got a new subscriber!! :)))

I'm so happy I was able to teach you something useful lol. I am a big advocate for young adults becoming knowledgable about finances and budgeting so you literally just made my day with this comment! i'm thinking of possibly doing a series on all finance topics aside from budgeting like taxes and retirement accounts and investing since I'm currently taking a class on it all. I'm just not sure if it's actually something I want to do and people would want to see

I think it'd be really useful for some people that need to earn extra cash to to save for college and even supplement family income. for them, taking a part-time job isn't a matter of choice but necessity. but for others, including me, working a part-time job is necessary if it could help them progress in terms of their career goals.
Thank you for teaching me how to budget Queen! 💰

Hey! Thanks this. I used to use the colourpop tinted moisturizer, then pink color corrector under my eyes from urban decay, light Maybelline concealer, the blush I got from Walmart it was just a cheap blush, then my highlight is most likely also a colourpop stick highlight

do you keep the sinking funds money on your normal account? because that's where my problems start, if I leave it all there then I'll lose track of what I'm spending where but I also don't want to carry my money around in envelopes or wtv because 1. it might get stolen and 2. I buy a lot of my essentials online
@thekamixcx

Definitely go watch my new video bc yes i do keep the money in all of my debit/savings accounts right now, but I show you how I break it down every paycheck so I know my balance of everything!
great video but I got a question. how on earth is your car insurance only $100?
@thekamixcx
3 жыл бұрын
HAHA thanks. So, I got my car off of craigslist and paid in full after saving so I wouldn’t have payments. I have a clean record after driving for 5 years, thankfully, and I was able to get the “good grades” discount they give to students after sending my transcripts since some insurance companies do that. I also have liability insurance, not full coverage, so that shaves some off
