HOW I RETIRED AT AGE 32 & MOVED TO THAILAND (Q&A)
How I retired at age 32 & moved to Thailand. Retirement can be a financial hardship for most people. Near retirement is very rare, and most people depend on social security benefits. The best way to reduce the cost of living is to move to a country with lower costs. Thailand retirement is a perfect example, and many people opt to live in Thailand during their retirement period. Thailand has a warm climate, friendly people, foreign foods and above all Thai food which are much spicier. There are many foreigners from Japan, United States, South Korea, Western Europe, and it is considered safe to live. Retirement in Thailand is very different from the notion that is associated with the word. Retirement has acquired a brand new meaning which suits the new definition of the new generation of retirees. Retiring in Thailand is a common and attractive option.

Jonny, I can't tell you how great it is to see you so organized, and addressing questions solidly and mindfully, soundfully as you did in this vlog! Awesome!! Thanks so much for the keen insight, background, and hints/thoughts on the future ahead! Awesome vlog installment; thank you for taking the time; love what you do here mate. I'll be in Thailand early next year with my Pinay girl; as soon as I get dates I'll give you a shout-out and see if you'll be around. Cheers!
You’re a very wise man Jonny. I worked long days - 9am to 9pm or later - until age 43 and then ended up on kidney dialysis. Enjoy your life while you can because none of us know what might restrict our lives in the future. 👍🏼

Great video, giving us all an insight into your life and lifestyle in Thailand,Yes its getting harder every year living in Australia with job instability and ever increasing cost of living and stagnant wage growth.Better being and living happy as at end of day you can't take it with you, only the memories you make. Cheers

Hi Jonny, Thank you! Looking forward to it my friend.
Hey, thanks for the answer to my question Jonny!! I have to agree with you, after you said that. I honestly wasn't coming up with anything until you mentioned the traffic, which can be outright deadly. Cheers!!
Well done mate. One of your best.
Cheers for being so honest and open, dont forget Old Blighty when you go travelling pal. We love a beer here too. All the best Jonny boy.
Hey Jonny, great Q&A. Really enjoyed it. Made retirement sound great!

Damn good video. A lot of good questions answered here. Thanks again.
You're a smart guy Jonny. Smart enough to know when you need to get your shit together. Not too many can say or admit to that. Cheers
Fair play to you mate it sounds like you done well and you worked hard and sold up at the right time.must of been a good deal as you were working on good boats.keep up the good work mate.
Very good very good If you ever make it out here, California, let me know. Glad to show you around. Cheers
Great vlog mate
Awesome Johnny, best advice for people of any age coming to live in Thailand is have your income from outside of Thailand. Trying to make money inside Thailand is almost impossible unless of course you work for an international company. Take it easy
I know it was around 3 y ago but your very interesting to learn some things from. Another great video cheers mate.
Good Vlog Johnny I love your attitude how right you are retiring at 32 I did same at 48 cut your coat according to your cloth live in the country that treats you best good for you
Thanks for the insight
great video many thanks
great vlog Jonny and yes i would have to agree with you as when i was over there the roads wre shocking and the traffic was herhendis but life itself and the people there are wonderful and as you said i think if you can get over the way Thailand is with the smell you can have a wonderful and great life living in Thailand
love your video Jonny.
This is your time capsule Jonny. Nearly 3 years later and you're not in Bangkok. I'll need to catchup with your other videos to follow the story. Love your attitude of "whatever happens happens", good on you for taking risks, and I wish you all the best.
Great vlogg Jonny very interesting can’t wait for your future travel vloggs in the Escort. 👍😎🇬🇧🍺😬🙏🛵🤠
Well done mate great vlog
awesome stuff !!
Nice one Johnny..You're living the dream. I've been coming Southeast asia from Australia since 1985. Currently living in the Philippines. I love the wild west feel too, but these days, Thailand is only the wild west when compared with the Australian Police state. Cambodia and the Philppines still have that feel. I lived for years in both. Thanks for sharing.
Good Q&A Jonny
Good on you just enjoy life, love to get out there one day. 👍🏻🏴
FairPlay to you Jonny !
By the power of passive income give you freedom in life. Good on you mate, you've worked hard ,applied your brains and now you're following your dream. So many people never stop to think about what is important in their life to themselves. I understand your philosophy and at the age of 57 I'm getting off the Hamster Wheel as well
Jonny. The very best of luck to you.
Thanks Jonny ✌️
Your spot on with your thoughts.
Great Info and you are living the dream I would be doing the same thing if the financial situation is better the rising cost and rent in Aus is nuts.
Love this guy!
Love this video, amen Jonnie:)
Nice to see some honesty in your responses. Ace comment about the cornflakes packet! I agree with you on the driving, they do seem in the main pretty bloody hopeless. Buddha is looking after them (maybe). Well done with the portfolio and an escort too! Insanely jealous. 😋👍
Still here mate over 2 years later. Great channel
Jhonny you are amazing man j watching u from years
Yes its same like Australia here in New Zealand. Good video Jonny
Good on you jonny all the best you seem like a cool dude
Great stuff Jonny! Really like the philosophy mate..... Looks like you've had alot of luck (through hard work) in life but also early tragedy....life's for living! Enjoy.....and don't listen to the haters!!!!
Good video. Good to see the man behind the man.
you win Jonny!
Your a man of my own heart, would have been cool to run into you when I was living in Hua Hin 2014 to 17.
Cool Jonny - thanks for the background! I hear you on the pet situation. Pets are a commitment and an obligation. They do limit your options. Both of my cats are 13 or 14 (rescue cats, so not exactly sure - LOL). I think they are trying hard to outlive me! Hopefully, though, I'll figure out a way to make another trip to Thailand next year - before I get too old and feeble - LOL. Take care mate. ;-)

Hi Jonny. I was a Respiratory Therapist for 40+ years in the US. Please quit smoking. COPD is no joke. I hope to meet you someday. I am living in Cha-am now and will look for you in Hua Hin around Soi 57. Take care.......Sal : )

Your gf, her son, and your pet are adorable. Hopefully next year I can retire from the company I work for here on US west coast and we can head that way to the PI where her family is, and visit Thailand too. Best wishes to you all. Cheers m8!

Why be jealous of somebody's achievements you all have the same chances it's going out there and make it happen I did so can you depends on how bad you want it. For me I found an opening in the property market to my chances and it paid of now I watch my money grow and give to charities and I live of the interest with the way interest rates are which is shit it gives you an idea how successful I've been. You got to make it happen for yourself if you want it that bad.
Thanks for answering my question, Jonny! Keep up the great videos!
So truth. Real-estate solid investments and the rigt set of mind ' money can also buy freedom'
Came across this channel. I too am looking at retiring in Thailand eventually. I own a condo at Black Mountain Golf Club (Hua Hin) and plan to upgrade to a villa eventually. Retire, travel for 10 years and then play golf and socialize with mates. Sounds as if you have it all figured out. Bye from Abu Dhabi.
