People don't realize how important this is and sometimes think that as long as your editing is well done and you have cool effects, then you're good to go. But it takes so much more! If you're going to be talking to an audience, then you need to build your presence with being on camera!

As much as there is a KZread algorithm people still gravitate to personality. I've learned that people like value. What can you teach them? What Can you teach them about themselves? Are you able to connect? As long as the value is coupled with consistency it helps. I have videos that range from 100K to 25 views. But I never planned to reach specific views it simply was based on how helpful or how connected viewers were to my content. Your content is so informative and helpful. Thank you! 🙏💕

The thing about "similar" creators is that you can SHARE an audience! Nobody watches one KZreadr and that's it. Granted, you do have to fit into search and home pages but still. It can happen. Focus on creating good content over defeating your potential allies.

TOTALLY agree about not being so focused on the numbers. Set personal goals like the number of videos you want to build on your channel, QUALITY content or building a better presence on camera. It’s what keeps me going.

My biggest struggle is lack of self confidence. I needed to hear this video... it’s ok for me to take my time to reach that confidence level. 🖤🖤

As someone who is studying communications as well it’s refreshing to hear you talk about how your experience “off camera” is different than perceived experience “on camera”. You may not have many videos, but you can tell the work was put in well before your first video came out just from the life you’ve lived. Your videos stood out to me for being insanely high value, beautifully produced, enjoyable to watch (you have a great personality and seem like a warm, genuine person), and the fact that you exude confidence! Trust is a big thing, too. I never get the sense that you're making something up. It's inspiring to learn from your expertise. Finally, you've very REAL (you even showed us your sick day) and you definitely have an "It" factor that made it easy to subscribe. It's not like it happened randomly, you have so many positives here! I notice that a lot of people bewildered about the growth of others aren't genuinely looking at their content and asking themselves how it's helping, inspiring, or entertaining others. This was right on time! I'm going live at the end of the month and recording + editing has been WORK! I think camera presence is mainly what I need more practice with -- sometimes I'll find myself yelling at the camera, trying to "insert my personality" and it doesn't do anything but come off weird and strain my voice LOL. I'm glad I caught myself at this point but being more comfortable and friendly in front of the camera is what I'm working on and trying not to let get me too caught up

Yasss Erin! Your points are so valid, and I appreciate you starting out with "on camera presence is a skill". There was always something that drew me into your content as you are so funny, relatable, and eloquent. It put things in perspective when you highlighted that developing screen presence is a learned skill that took some time. I'm starting out my KZread journey and I definitely still feel awkward on camera, but all I can do is continue to practice practice practice and try to churn out valuable content. Like they say, it takes 10000 hours to become expert at something! Thank you and please continue to make great videos.

This make so much sense. Although Erin created her results on yt and business fast, people are not understanding that she had loads of experience in front of the camera. Now she’s helping us to build our brands, story telling, messaging and to get more comfortable in front of the camera. We should stop 🛑 comparing ourselves to her speedy success. We have to listen to her advice and run our own race (marathon NOT a sprint) *Her results are not average!!* I’m just starting out this year as well and haven’t quite reached 100 subs yet. Still getting comfortable and presenting in front of the camera. 😆It’s just a matter of how much we are willing to take this journey love creating and staying consistent. I just started my channel a couple weeks ago. I can’t wait to grow my channel. Your videos have definitely been helping me so far💗

I'm a growing youtuber too and the "what am i doing wrong" question once hit me at the beginning. Most especially cos I'd never been in the media world, never had any on-camera experience and absolutely zero editing skills. But since I chose to go at my own pace and focus on making editing a hobby, i found myself always wanting to make more videos and my channel's been growing; slowly but steadily :)

That last part when you said maybe the method to help us grow hasn't been done yet, you became my favorite! I can definitely stop trying to make everything 110% perfect before I do it and just put my best foot forward and see what does or doesn't work for me as I go along, I feel like I know to know everything about something before I start.

You're super likeable and easy to watch, I think that's a huge factor. You give "that's my homegirl, yasss, get it" vibes lol and your content is bomb. You go girl! The ground work is definitely a huge factor. I think we often take the "behind the scenes" growth elements for granted. For me, I think my achilles heal is the vulnerability factor, but I've decided this year, we off that! I've grown a 6 figure business while being a full time mom and I'm creating a life I love... no reason I can't crush this goal too... Keep inspiring us Erin!

Thank You so much for this Erin! Im just starting out on KZread and I find myself constantly feeling pressured to have thousands of subscribers and being perfect like some of my favorite youtubers. often times I find myself comparing to others, which obviously isn't very helpful. I would say my biggest struggle right now with KZread is staying consistent and staying true to myself, my time will come and I need to just keep working hard until I get there!
