Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
We all think about stretch marks when we're pregnant. While genetics are a big factor, there are products and ingredients (like shea butter) that help ease our skin into the stretch we get from our bellies expanding. Now that I'm pregnant with baby #2, these are the products I'm currently using on my body to prevent stretch marks and take care of my body! What products do you use to prevent stretch marks? Let me know in the comments!

I got stretch marks on my hips during my teen years. I was way too young to notice this then and didn’t do anything about it. During my pregnancy I used Palmers Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Oil every day and I didn’t get any new stretch marks at all. I also kept my self hydrated.

I feel like Susan knows everything. I love her.
Susan could you please try Halo Beauty and let us know your thoughts? Thank you!
First time pregnant lady here so I'm clueless to all of this - thank you for the tips! You're always such a great source of info, love the video! 💙
I love the the palmers stretch marks set. It comes in four different consistencies and it helps to apply just what I need
Susan, please make a video on your jewelry collection. I am always in love with the pieces you wear!
Yes to everything about magnesium! My mom got me into it and it has been the only thing that has helped my bowl movement.
Thank you! I loved the video!!
I wish I had you during my 1st pregnancy. This stuff is really informative
I found the last few weeks as the baby dropped very low is key to applying the products just above the pubic bone helped. Stay out of the heat & sun; it's very drying & dehydrating during pregnancy. Watching sugars & carbs helps. My 2nd pregnancy with my daughter was brutal on my skin & "love handles". I wish we had better information then. Good talk, Susan.
I would love to see a general body skincare routine! 🙌🏼 (Recommended skincare routine for the body)

I've never been pregnant but I feel like I've learned so much from watching these videos! For example I'd been having this dry, patchy and painful skin on the back of one of my hand. Just one, which I found odd. I put jojoba oil followed by a lotion that contains Shea butter on it. But it wasn't getting any better. So when Susan mentioned Aquaphor. I thought if it can be helpful to a baby's skin maybe it could help the dry skin on my hand? And within days of using it the skin on my hand became softer and smoother. I am more than pleasantly surprised! And I'm glad she mentioned a serum for the body. I had been wondering if using a serum followed by a lotion or moisturizer would be just as good for the body as it is for the face? I heard someone once say that the skin on the face is different than the skin on your arms, hands, legs and feet. Which I can understand. But they were responding to being told that Jennifer Lopez used La Mer on her whole body. And saying to only use products that were intended and formulated for the body on the body. But I'm going to look into that body serum. I'd like to to add that to my own self care routine.🙂
Great video! You are a true inspiration!! ❤️ Can you please do a pregnancy safe make up products? Also places to find or look for safe products?
Thank you so much! I’m not even pregnant but this was useful x
I used all these products 4 years ago when you recommend then &I was around the same place in my pregnancy as you. It because a calming night time ritual for me. Magnesium is part of cholorophyl molecule so eating greens is good enough
I just started Belli oil and lotion last night. I like it better than Bio-oil because i feel like the skin actually absorbs the Belli oil.
Loved this!! Looking into that scrub as I use Natural Calm powder and gummies. What would you suggest for Magnesium cream as I have one but find it SO itchy? An oil over it or under? Thank u!
Thank you for another grate video, can you make a videos out retinol, where they are on the scale of strength and where somebody should start, I tried A+ Sunday Riley but that seem to strong for me... I’m in my 30s with sensitive dry skin. Any advice?
Will you do a video either on here or the sass that talks about what to do IF you DO get stretch marks? Like what to do to help them go away or really minimize them? I think you’ve mentioned sharzad got some? Thank you!!! Perfect video btw!

My dermatologist gave me vitamin E cream and while my stretch marks were still red and fresh, I applied it and now I don't even see them! I gave up after a month or two because I thought it wasn't working so very few of them are still visible. I was Young and didn't really know what was happening , my dermatologist just said 'it's because you're weight is increasing'. The vitamin E cream worked wonders but I still wish she explained it better so I wouldn't have stopped using it.
I'm 32 and don't have any children, but I plan to eventually so I've started preventative work. I use retinol on my body everyday and then slather on a hyaluronic acid gel moisturizer. You can't use retinol products when you're pregnant, but you can prep your skin for when the time comes!
I’ve read that oils are the way to go for stretch marks because lotions doesn’t absorb deep enough into the skin and oil goes past just the top layer of your skin!
Actually, "hard water" is water with a high content of minerals such as calcium and magnesium. So the exact opposite of the filtered water we clean ourselves with.
Please make a bodycare routine
I've been wondering how to take good care of the body as I do to my face skin. Even though I'm not pregnant, how found this video very useful! So, thank you :) I only have one doubt: is it okay to do physical exfoliation and use the aha body serum on the same routine, or different days? Maybe the body skin can handle both since is not as sensitive as face skin? Thank you in advance :)
Great video! Should oil be applied before or after Shea butter?
I didn’t get stretch marks until after birth and I did a hella lot to prevent.
Hello Susan! Do you have a drugstore option for exfoliation? They are easier to find in Mexico. Thanks!!
Susan, do you use both scrubs every day? Also do you use both cream and oil everyday and if yes, do you put on the cream first and then the oil?
Susan is there anything you can recommend for keratosis pilarsis please. X
What are your thoughts on the Trader Joe's acai face scrub?
I didn’t have stretch marks my entire pregnancy until after I had my c-section. I noticed them like 2 weeks postpartum 😩
Hi, thanks so much for the tips! I've been using shea butter on my bump but ive also recently read that rosehip oil can be good for stretchmarks (i've already got them on my boobs). But read a conflicting artical that rosehip oil is bad because it contains vitamin a? Should it be avoided? Do you know much about this??? Thanks!!!
Before my first child, I had a miscarriage that got my weight up so fast in a 2 week time. From there, I have very deep stretch marks, I can feel the cracks in my skin. When I was pregnant with my first only tiny stretch marks appeared as extra but they were thin, will taking care now help reduce the stretch marks, for a future possible pregnancy. P.s: I love your channels, all three. I really like the recommendations you give.

It’s always a good idea to take care of your skin. You can try to lighten the current stretch marks you have-if you’re not pregnant, I would use a retinol.
Just found out I’m pg ! My first baby 👶 I’m trying to find some stuff to help and see if I can prevent them from happening .just wondering do I get all these products or which ones do u recommend 🤗🤗

WIsh I would have known for my pregnancy at 23 yrs old. My tummy is destroyed from the last 2 months of pregnancy when my belly grew so fast.
hey susan know you may see this but just in case - I would like to know which body lotions you recommend
How often do you use the scrubs?
Hi! Can I use the Ren scrub when my belly is itchy? I’ve been using it but worried that’s considered scratching..
Is it ok to use the exfoliant daily? My esthetician always told me daily exfoliation with scrubs is too much and can actually dry your skin out? So what would you recommend for the Ren serum and magenesium scrub?
What do you think about bio oil??
susan, when did u start wearing the belly band?
How many times a week did you use the aha serum
Do you use these products in the order presented ?
I’m a 6’5 19 year old who started consistently going to the gym about a year ago and I have developed HARSH stretch marks mostly on my shoulders. They have lost their strong deep red color and are lightened but are still very visible. I’ve done some research and am currently using physical exfoliants, retin-A, and Shea butter. I am about a month into this ‘treatment’ and feel like theyre starting to fade but it might just be me. Does anyone have any tips?? I’ve looked into chemical peels that seems a bit intense. I didn’t get lucky with my genetics 🤒
The link to the ren body scrub doesn't work and I'm guessing from my research that they do not sell it anymore. Do you have a suggestion for a replacement product?
Thank you SO much for these videos!! Just a question about the belly band, how long do you wear it for and do you wear it everyday?

I'm using raw shea butter as my main moisturizer. It's solid and once it melts in my hand I work it into my skin, focusing on my belly. Having watched this video, should I treat this as my oil? I do want to incorporate a cream moisturizer but now I'm wondering if it would replace the raw shea butter I'm currently using or be added before? Also, thank you for the recommendations!

This is also my second pregnancy, and this time around I’m getting stretch marks on my stomach when I didn’t the first time around. I’ve been reading the glycolic acid and vitamin c will help what are your thoughts??
@juicysatsumabeauty

Yikes glycolic acid on that amount of your body during pregnancy is a huge no. Even using it on your face during pregnancy you have to be careful not to use too much too often.
I thought since none of my family got stretch marks I wouldn’t either... boy was I wrong lol I’m the first one up to my great grandmother to get more than 1. And I take care of my skin and did my entire pregnancy. I think there’s a lot more involved... like hormones! Apparently if u have high cortisol (which I do) that puts u at much higher risk..
Unfortunately, there's very little you can do in truly preventing or avoiding getting stretch marks, but there are some new options and solutions in helping diminish the appearance of them like the stretch mark camouflage tattoo...

In 2014 I was pregnant and everybody was wondering how I didn't without getting stretch mark. I ate healthy fats from fish, nuts and veggies like avocado.. I applied vitamine e, aloe vera oil, shea moisture and whatever I had evry morning and night. The vitamine e lotion I used when I had the urge to scratch my belly. I don't think my genetics helped me but my diet and natural lotions and oils
A magnesium SCRUB? That's... kind of genius! I've used magnesium oil, and foot soaks, but meh. A scrub... hmmm.. Great video, Susan! I mean, why stop after pregnancy? Even after, or if you're not pregnant, you still need to be gentle because there's still somebody in your body... you

@EH012
5 жыл бұрын
@@gladystony1857 I actually DID make a scrub after watching this and checking out the Ren product ingredients! The oil itself left on was too sticky for me, but I'm very fussy about touch type stuff, so maybe it wouldn't bother most. The scrub is basically oil with coffee grounds and oatmeal and some other powders, glycerine, and I melted in some emulsifying wax into the oil. And obviously, Magnesium. I used Magnesium Chloride, powdered with the other powders, because it absorbs faster, and I don't have the tub to soak in, like with Epsom salts. Because I added the emulsifying wax, the scrub turns into a rich cream on wet skin. I'm super happy with it! Hope that was interesting to you :)

Years ago I actually saw where someone recommended putting Epsom salts in your bath and soaking in it for 20 minutes at least 3 times a week. The reason given is that there is magnesium in it which is needed for over 300 biochemical reactions in your body. I had no idea how beneficial magnesium was until then. So what you are saying is true.🙂

@EmorettaRobinson
5 жыл бұрын
@@EH012 if you don't have a bathtub and want to use the scrub, then by all means do so. No one is saying not to use the products that Susan mentioned. At least I'm not saying that. I'm saying that soaking or bathing in Epsom salts can be very beneficial because of the magnesium, which our bodies need. But there are other methods of getting that much needed magnesium. I've also heard someone say that she applies a lotion with magnesium in it at night to help her sleep. I don't know how much magnesium is in the lotion and can't recall the name of the brand. But that person said it was helpful for her. By all means find a product that is beneficial for you.

Maybe it will help you understand. I was also reading a lot of false things on the internet. It's just marketing schemes that companies with all natural ingredients like to use to scare people.
