I agree I was four and I was getting my first ear piercing and my mom didn't know about piercings. After 3 re piercings at Claire's I decided to pierce my own ears or go to a actual piercing shop

I would completely trust you to pierce my ears. Guys stop freaking out at her, after an hour her piercing looks better than my friends who have had theirs done professionally for over a year. And for those of you saying she shouldn't be a pro, go suck an egg, she saved herself 50$. You go girl, I could never do this to myself but I would definitely let you do it.

I hate when people say “no go see a professional” and all that; I had my helix professionally pierced at 16 and it got infected and kept falling out even after cleaning it like I was supposed to; but my sister pierced my helix a year ago and it healed with no problems and I did my double helix a week ago myself and it’s super unproblematic. Yes maybe it’s wise to see a professional but doing it yourself doesn’t guarantee a bad outcome, just as a professional doesn’t guarantee a good one.

I've never seen an at home piercing video go this smoothly. Most people kill me when they do their own piercings because they push the needle a bit, stop, push it more, stop. I end up screaming "JUST SHOVE IT THROUGH" at the computer. Nice job

Salt water isn't a cleaning solution before pierced. Clean with alcohol. Once pierced use salt water to clean. Salt water helps with healing not as sterile to clean before pierced.

I'm not giving any hate, but just for people that plan to do this themselves, please be SO careful and educate yourself as much as possible! There's a nerve that is very close to the tragus and some not cool things can happen if you damage it! Everyone says, "That can only happen if your piercer is doing a shit job" but that's a TRAINED piercer none the less. If you're doing this at home you're likely not trained so it COULD happen. Not saying everyone who does it at home will hurt themselves, just be careful!

I have always wanted my tragus pierced but I will go to a professional and only a professional I have heard scary stuff about tragus piercings. no way not by myself and I have pierced myself a lot I have a lot of piercings but that one nope. not one to do at home if my hand slips or I hit that vain or whatever noway. but no it didn't hurt her or bleed cause she didn't pierce it it's already done. haha 😂😂

I would not recommend using a ring from personal experience it moves more than the stud and irritates the tragus causing it to inflame.

Funny how we all make a face when we're bending thing's like it will help strengthen us;-)

Don't listen to all these stupid people, you actually did a great job but I would have used a sterilized 16 gauge 1/2'' (12 mm) long straight bar with a flat disc at the end. And about the lube? My piercer used lube when she did my nostril. You were so brave. I also want to this on my own (i've already pierced my own ears multiple times) but the tissue seems to thick and I'm afraid I would get the neddle just halfway through. Did it hurt that bad? AND FOR EVERYBODY TALKING MYTHS ABOUT HOW A TRAGUS PIERCING CAN PARALYZE HALF OF YOUR FACE PLEASE GO READ AN ANATONY BOOK. From wikipedia: "Tragus piercings are generally not very painful, due to the small number of nerve endings in the tragus." are you all dumb?

Julia Geraldes I’m not really on any bodies side here, but you definitely should NOT use a size larger. Everybody says it’s good for swelling, but it’s actually worse. If you use a size larger and it swells, it may engulf the piercing into your ear and you may not be able to get it out. If you do it right, there shouldn’t be TOO much swelling to the point where you need a size larger needle. Hope I helped. ❤️

I have at-home piercings too! Rook, helix and conch. It's always a gamble to do them at home where you have less control of how "sterile" or disinfected things are but I am willing to take the gamble for a significantly lower price and the badassery of piercing myself. Piercings go wayyyyy back and there weren't autoclaves and Lysol in ancient tribes. To be honest, there's a risk involved anywhere you get pierced, even if the room is stark white and smells of bleach you can still get an infection. It's a matter of how well you prepare and handle things and how willing you are to take the risk. ALWAYS use the right tools (hollow needles, proper initial jewelry) and look up tons of piercing videos for reference. So piercers are RECOMMENDED but as per my case I was underage and going against my parents' wishes haha. All is well, I healed perfectly. Shit goes downhill if you're doing shit like piercing cartilage with guns and doing piercings with safety pins in the school bathroom...you know what I mean?

For her and everyone else's information the H2Ocean spray is literally just saltwater / contact solution ( the sailig you put and use for your contacs in your eyes. Dont waist money on the H2Ocean when you can go buy contact solution for 90% cheaper!

Every ones heals diferant but you will run in to things like you will get it cought on a towle or you will bump it but other than that you should be ok and the healing process was smoth other than the bumps just clean it 2-3 times day and you should be set and depending on if you go and get it done by another person the will say a year befor you can chang it but you can change it after the crust, pus and swelling goes away.. thats what i did and mine is perfect.

I put nose/Monroe jewelry in it (18 or 20 gauge)- I did finally put a nose ring in that you can close with pliers so that it cannot be pulled out every time I get my hair caught in it -I love the jewelry available for noses and monroes, but I hate that they come out so easily

$50 to $80 per percing? that is expensive I got my Dave done for £25, vertical labret £25, face dermal £25 and my septum was the most expensive at £35 those are just the recent ones that I can remember the price of. I'm going to get my tragus done I think and that will be £30 as I'm going somewhere that's a bit more expensive due to my regular piercing place being closed for the winter as I'm in a seaside town.

I just got mine done myself! You really encourage me and I guess I also trust and know my body that I didn’t need to go to a professional. I tried to do a round earring but was hard to get thru I even put the needle twice to get the right earring in 😛. Loved your video and have to say you did a better job than I did! 👍🏽💪🏽

I’m jealous you could pierce this. I tried around 5 times, even watched this video before, but I either couldn’t get the piercing straight or it would get infected. Eventually went to a professional this summer, it hurt going through so much scar tissue but i never gave up on the tragus piercing 🖤

I ordered all of this stuff off Amazon. Waited to collectively receive it all - & I literally pierced my tragus 10 mins ago lol. I know exactly what you mean about the "crunch' sound.. It didn't hurt much just a pinch.. but I heard 5 or 6 distinct and loud POP's lolol that was probably the worst part. The needles I ordered were 14g so they were bigger & that was my fault for not paying attention when ordering.. but my jewelry of choice fit right inside the hollow of the needle & made transferring the jewelry such a quick and painless process. Thanks for making this video!! It was super helpful. EDIT: Also, could you do a quick piercing update video on the ones you've done yourself?

I really didn't like the look of a hoop in for a long time but seeing this made me fall in love with it!

I got my Tragus pierced in November. The piercer used a captive bead and I wasn’t a fan. I ended up changing it to a straight bar. It will swell. it’s annoying. Wash with clear fragrance free and dye free soap (I didn’t do that). Just FYI if any of you are thinking about this piercing. Sterile sea salt spray is good for aftercare but definitely wash with soap morning and night.

remember that not everybodies tragus CAN be pierced, if it is to small theres a really really high risk of numbing one side of your face permanently and even if it is not tooo small remember that this part is extremely delicate and there are a lot of nerves running through the tragus and if you hit one of them it can damage you permanently.

I got mines pierced last week and didn't feel a thing. It doesn't hurt. it all depends on how you take pain, my piercer didn't use the clamps it was in and out :) . very nice job

I actually felt almost nothing when I got my tragus pierced to be honest but it depends on your pain tolerence. My helix piercing hurt a lot more.

Hey, what diameter is your CBR? And my tragus doesn't hurt anymore but it's only been 2 weeks so how long should I wait to change it? I changed my helix after min 4-5 months but I have a bump and it still hurt sometimes but should I wait the same amount of time? Thanks and btw I love your videos!

I used this video to pierce my tragus the other day and I was really confused on how you got the needle in your ear past the bent part but now watching it I realized I bent mine too much. Also, you don't need the pencil cap if you use a clamp.

I actually just got my tragus pierced about a week ago. I didn't hear any crunching sound. Just a very slight popping sound when it went through the other side. But oh my gosh did it hurt!
