Hello Mohit, Thanks for the kind words and support! I spent my first year after my bachelor's degree overseas in China. I worked for free for about 13 months before landing my current position. So I can relate to the struggle to a certain extent. While I didn't get paid, the projects I worked on during this time kept me relevant and when time came for me to look for a position, my projects garnered enough confidence in my boss, such that he gave me a chance to interview. While it's not ideal to work for free, I wouldn't discount it as a form of experience. Here are the two projects I worked on during this year: Ceramic tile factory automation (startup) -- vvhe.info/repo Beverage shop wechat mini program -- vvhe.info/boba Given that the video that you just watched is about getting AWS solutions architect associate, I know it is the opposite of what I detail in this video, but I have to say for your situation, getting the certification should not be your primary objective. It MAY* help with job prospects, but I think your time is better spent on working on a project, actively applying, and LeetCode-ing. You want to work on projects that demonstrate that you have working knowledge of AWS. Getting this certification doesn't have high enough of a ROI for your situation, unless you are going for roles that have the certification as a prerequisite. Hope this helps!

The material is easy, I trained to take the exam. e.g every day for 2 weeks I set aside 3 hours in the AM and did a unique practice exam. I did this by limiting myself to the bathroom breaks that you get at the test center. This way you can gauge the speed you are answering questions and also know when you are ready to sit for the exam. did this for SysAdmin and Solutions Architect and got them both within 3 months.

I got a voucher 2 weeks ago with Pearson VUE and now I am on a deadline with my employer. I registered to Neal Davis on Udemy. I covered the first 240 questions on exam topics. I still need to take a look at Jayaendras labs. I am kind of burnout right now. But I will pass this exam in the next 2 weeks.

Hey Victor, when is your next video man? You could easily make these kind of videos for different subjects you've learned. Not only would it benefit people who watch like it benefited me, but from the views of this video you could easily go far. Saddens me to see this as your only video. And you reply to comments still so it's not like you forgot

Hi Victor, I understand you are in software development prior to passing the AWS CSAA exam, i am surprised that you didn't need to have a networking background in order to make sense of the whole world of cloud computing. This is very encouraging to me, gives me hope because i am a former software developer myself, and the thought of starting over with networking all the way to AWS seems daunting as it would probably take me a long time to reach my goal. Well, glad to see that i don't have to do all that. And i could leverage my coding knowledge though it may be a few years ago. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I spent 2 days to study and pass SA Associate. I had very little time to prepare because the voucher expires within 2-3 days. What helped me was Udemy course but I skipped bunch of the content as I already know 40-50% of them and also did some quizzes to help me identify my level of understanding and work myself from there.

This a powerful video and I love the details. Your very through with your recipe and why. Also some life lessons included. I will say I find it funny when people make these videos but already have some experience or exposure. If your a software engineer , attaining that information don't be as difficult as someone that's totally green. Either way your recipe should work for whoever

Victor, how'd you did you study 4-5 hours per day while working full-time? I could understand that if you had minimal or no work to do at your job and the study time crossed over with on-the-clock-time. For most people, 5-6 hours per day might be a hard cap on efficiency when learning new things (just full time studying without a job even). Or maybe it's just being young and never suffering burnout before.

Hello Justin, It depended on what my goal was for that week. For the first 10 days, I used the 5 hours to get through the course videos and take notes. When my goal was to complete practice exams, I would use 1.5 hours to complete the practice exams and 3.5 hours to study the solutions. Sometimes I would have days where I am just reviewing the solutions. In general, I identified what I needed to work on and just spent as much time on it as needed, working on only one thing at a time. Hope this helps.
