Thank you for this video! I am SO GLAD to finally see an Asian kitchen organization video. I can't relate to other videos because the amount of spices, sauces, noodles etc we have for a multitude of dishes is insane. We also have specific pots/pans to make certain meals. I'm saving this video because I'm cleaning/organizing my mom's kitchen and she has three drawers of just spice packets. My dad also has a whole cabinet of just different coffee and tea. I'm definitely going to apply your tips!

Glad to see someone with a reasonable amount of peanuts in their homes. I've watched too many kitchen / pantry organization videos that have 0 peanuts. I know this has nothing to do with organizing but it felt oddly relatable. Lovely video, great ideas. Thanks for uploading it. 🎉😊🙏

Hi. I practice the same in utilizing the expiration date label of the product packaging and using the turntable and pot organizer rack for frequently used items. We're in the same club! However, our kitchen is way smaller than yours, hence, it's a tougher challenge for us. By the way, I hope you will also show us how to organize the cleaning towels, such as hand and dish towels, countertop, dining table, and stovetop rags, etc., in a way that is functional (easy to reach and air-dried) yet are not an eyesore. Thank you.

Reynard, you’ve made this kitchen extremely functional and attractive. To me, attractiveness is as important as functionality because a beautiful home is uplifting and inspiring. You will want to cook more frequently and creatively when everything in your kitchen is so beautiful and accessible. You will want to maintain the kitchen’s efficiency and beauty as you use it because it feels so good to admire a gorgeous kitchen day after day. 😊

I organized my in-laws kitchen when they moved into a new house. I find having a cooking, prepping, and then serving zone to be very handy and you can store the different items you need for those zones in their most useful spot. I also included a coffee zone and a baking zone, since my MIL likes to bake.

Excellent tips for organising the space, Reynard. Those lazy susans jn the cupboard are such a dream to use ( i got one this year after struggling to reach oils from a high shelf). Anko/kmart also now have a clear egg holder - when i saw inside the fridge, it reminded me of how i stored them in the carton. I'm ADHD so I frequently forget the state of things in th kitchen that i can't easily see. The anko one holds a dozen big eggs and is clear with a flat slide off lid. That way I can see how many are left and also stack another egg tray on top.

I get people like their cricuts, but, damn, that peeling, weeding, and transferring process looks irritating as hell. I mean, it’s great if you find all of this satisfying, but I can’t imagine devoting that much time to it. I really prefer just taking a label maker and printing labels and sticking them on. So many fewer steps.

  • @whiteserpent6753

@@lynettecorle8391 We have one of the Brother P Touch models; I'm not sure which one. It plugs in, has a full keyboard, and auto-cuts the labels after printing. I think it's really easy to use. You can, of course, make it hard to use by fiddling with things, but you don't have to. It's pretty similar to the P-Touch 1830, but that one doesn't seem to plug in. People do complain that it wastes the label tape (which is true), but it's much less wasteful than the amount of material you seem to lose with a cricut. Of course, it's obviously a lot less versatile, for those who want to do add images to their labeling, or produce any font, any size, any color-- but mostly I want to label power cords or garage storage bins, etc., and just generally do one-off labels. I don't care if they're pretty. It's good for that. All down to what your goal is.

I told my daughter to get the flour. She said we were out. I thought that was impossible and, sure enough, I found a container I remembered decanting the last of the flour into. She went to make her cookies but instantly ran into a problem. My memory stinks and the « flour » was actually powdered sugar. 😂 Labels matter.

  • @samph5

Do not decant. It takes too much time and effort. Too much money for the jars. And there will always be a bag somewhere of half empty food items that did not fit the display jar. Also, it feels unsanitary and unhygienic to keep those foods where in hands freely enter the whole jar. Especially cookies and nuts and mms. Moreso, it’s so hard to find airtight jars to maintain food freshness and quality. Understanbly, this video is sponsored by a labeling machine. That’s why you would advocate decanting.
