Agree on this.. My husband is Japanese and I'm Filipino. We met in the Philippines during his short stay there. We met on my birthday at my son's classmate's house. Hnd pa kami inintroduce right away. We were introduced the day after. Hesitant kasi mother ng classmate ng anak ko kasi baka daw babaero ayaw ako malagay sa alanganin. Eh wala eh, Destiny is destiny. Love moves in mysterious ways. God is the director of our lives. Sabi ni God siya na daw destiny ko kaya GO. Now, we live in Japan together. I was never married before I met him. I was busy with work, I didn't have time for a relationship. Kaso iba talaga nung nakilala ko siya. Nagiba, iba din effort niya kahit super busy niya.

the last part made me cry, I do believe too that God has a great and better plan for everyone, thank you for sharing an inspiring love story!!!

I am half filipina, half swedish and I lived in Japan for years. My experience in Japan is ...It is not a country where you can relax. It is all about work and earning money to pay all the bills as it is very expensive in Japan. I think your wife is lucky to have found you because Japanese are not at all symphatic (most japanese not all). But most are cold, not like Filipino who are warm at heart and thoughtful. Cultural differences are common in any relationships whereas the 2 came from different countries, but if your love are strong enough then I am sure you will both overcome that. I AGREE! and sorry if i'm bringing race here but sometime if they knew you're a south-east asian or you look black they kinda had a little racism in them(not all) but i feel it sometime, Japan to me is only good for visiting but working there is too tough, all those salarymen you see at night in shinkansen looks so exhausted, i will only work there if their is a super good company that takes care on employees other than that is a big no. I'm glad that their love is blossom to a good one.

We got married in Toronto as well, we have 2 boys and soon to be a 3rd son coming soon With the culture different and languages barriers I think really help grow us together and respectful to our differences, we been married almost 6 years.
