My late Mom taught me that the trick is to put little pressure and the roti rotates by itself as you roll.

Perfect round. U get that with years of experience. Not everyone can get the dough right. Reminds me of my late mums roti. Wish you GOD'S richest blessings and favor.

Hi... I see there's no oil, salt or ghee in here. Is it a preference or is that how it's supposed to be made? Also, must the pap be completely cold before adding the flour?

Hi Fatima..yes you can add oil or ghee if you like but normally this is how we make mealie meal roti...and the pap must be warm not completely cold 🤗...if you ever have any more questions..you are most welcome to ask 🤗

In south Africa we have maize meal but I use the cream of maize meal..it's a type of corn flour but it's creamy

Hello..you must use as less flour as possible..let's say you using 3 cup cream of maize..you must use just 1 cup flour to make your dough and make sure to take time to knead your dough
