Great explanation. Using samples as creative layers can be really effective for making new sounds. There can be even cooler results if you eq out specific parts or maybe even automate the eq on one of the layers. That plus different fx on all the layers has worked well for me.

Been trying to get into color bass for awhile, this just opened my third eye. Absolute gold!

You can also put a chord in the convolver for color bass

you can also unroute or lower the volume from the bass to the master so it sounds more/less dry(colorful)

anyone has an idea how to make similiar effect in ableton?

know nothing about sound design, just curious if you could then turn a pattern with this effect into an audio clip would it keep the same layered effect?. Just curious if you could layer multiple sounds like this.

Yes, just copy what I showed in the video and you should get a similar result. For the limiter, make sure the curve at the bottom is to 1 for both, and turn the attack release and sustain all the way off

Unfortunately it was just installed when I cracked serum. I have no idea where the skin is from it just says its the Default one for some reason

if serum is insert 1 and vocal (or water like in this video) is insert 2 you need to sidechain instert 1 to instert 2, put vocodex on insert 2 and in vocodex pick MOD (right click) insert 1 also if you don't want to hear raw instert 1's sound you need to unrout insert 1 of master
