Hey paris, do you use the same wax for your wax melts?! I was watching and they was saying coconut apricot was not a good wax for wax melts and that’s the wax that I wanna use for my line!
Great video but what size tin are you using? I have 8oz and 16oz tins so I'm sure the measurements would be different. Please any help would be appreciated!
What temp do you recommend putting in FO and what temp for pouring ?

Hi, love, love, your video. I didn't get the name of the black round paper looking thing you put in the jar with the wicker stick to measure the center of the container.

Thanks so much!! ❤️ The black round paper is called a duster. It’s used for keeping dust off of the candle wax when it is not being used.
Love love love your videos. For your wooden wicks from Wooden Wick Co do you use .03 or .02 whispering wick booster, no booster or crackling wick?

Great video again, Paris. Im in the process of starting my candle business soon, and i just purchased the same woodenwick tins but with the crackeling booster .03x 625x 5 what are your thoughts on my wick selection? im using the coconut soy way And how come your not using oz for FO? Can i just convert the gramns to oz ?if my scale is in ozThank you
@ParisNikkole
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! ❤️ For the tins I use .75", the .625 will not give a full melt pool. I like to use grams because the fragrance oil is so light but you can definitely convert to ounces. My friend google helps me with conversions, lol!

@@ParisNikkole Hello Paris I am unable to find .75 on wooden wick site. please advise thanks for all you do here for us! greatly appreciated! Much continued success
Hey my favorite girl I have a question. I have the round 8oz tin and the 2oz tin. Do I have to test all the fragrance oil inside the 2oz tin as well even though they both the same tins but different size. I know I have to test for wick sizes but do I have to test the oils to.
@ParisNikkole
3 жыл бұрын
Hey girl, hey! LOL! I would say yes, you have to test the fragrance oil in both size tins because the wax to fragrance ratio is different for each size. So for the 2oz tins your fill rate may be 80g of wax so for a 10% fragrance load that will be around 7g of fragrance oil but with the 8oz tin (which has a 5oz fill rate) you will need 160g of wax and 14g of fragrance oil for a 10% fragrance load. However, you may find that 10% is too much for the 2oz tin and you may want to scale it down. So, you don't need to test every fragrance oil you have in the tins but I would test a very lightly scented fragrance and a strong fragrance because you may need more or less depending upon the potency of the fragrance oil. Hope that makes sense. As always, thanks for watching love! ❤️❤️❤️
@daphneyjeanpierre2754
3 жыл бұрын
@@ParisNikkole thank you so much my love. I know the wax amount will be different for sure but I really wanted to know will the same amount of fragrance load will perform in the 2oz without having to see how all of the fragrance oil will perform. I also soon bigger tins like 12 or 14oz tins. Will I have to test all the oils again in the same tin but different size.
The wooden wicks are they .02 or is it a certine number you use .
@ParisNikkole
Жыл бұрын
I use .02 or .03. I also use the whisper wicks and the booster wicks. For some reason the lighter wooden wicks work better with some fragrances and the darker wood works better with others. Not sure why but that is why I do extensive testing.
Hello Paris, just want to say everything you do is stylish and appreciated. Wondering if you prime your wicks before you use them in your candles? Thank you in advance :)

Hi Paris! Love the videos. I have a question. 160 grams and 14 grams of fo. How did you get 160 grams. I google and the wax amount of 160 grams is 5.6. oz but the tin is 5 oz. I have been trying to figure this out
@ParisNikkole
2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks so much! 😊 So, the tin is actually larger than 5oz but the suggested max fill rate is 5oz to prevent overflow. I go over the 5oz fill rate a little but not too much. I have found that 160 g wax and 14 g of fragrance oil is the PERFECT formula! See specs for tin below: Size: 3.5" w x 2" h Weight: 0.15 lbs Suggested Wax Fill: 5 oz Overflow Fill: 6.5 oz
