How I Make Journal Covers With Old Reader's Digest Books & The Original Spine

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I'm Becky Roesler and I love making handmade journals, junk journals, art journals, and mixed media art. This is a video tutorial showing how I make journal covers from old Reader's Digest books by keeping the original book spine intact. I give step-by-step written instructions that are posted on my Facebook and Instagram pages if you'd like to save a copy of them. Thanks so much for watching, giving it a thumb's up, subscribing, and commenting. I love hearing from you! I hope this video gives you some good ideas you can use in your own creative projects.
I'm sorry for all the throat clearing and froggy voice on this video. I didn't realize how choked up with allergies I am today until I played back the video. Come see me and get a copy of the written insutructions on Facebook at Rebecca Roesler (Becky Roesler) and on Instagram at Becky's Journals. Thanks so much for all your support.

I love your tutorials. I found a few RD books at a local thrift store and made my 1st one! It isn't as pretty as yours but I am practicing! Thank you for all you share!

Thanks Tricey! Like anything, it just takes doing it a few times to get the hang of it.

Thanks Ana! It's really not that hard if you get all your stuff together before hand and do it the same way every time until you become comfortable with it.

Hi! Looks great! I have a similar video where I use readers digest covers and remove the spine, but yours is better! ❤

I love your videos. Do you have instructions on how to put the closures you use. Interested in the how to on the eyelets in the back cover.

Thanks! I punch the holes in the back and attach the eyelets with a Crop-o-dile Big Bite tool.
