    Hi, so I also bought the same coffee machine, but the coffee always tasted as if it has been electrocuted if that makes any sense... Smells super burnt... I thought there was an issue with the coffee so I got a medium roast from Starbucks, Colombian coffee as well as from third wave coffee but it still smells the same.. i love having espresso and americano but what we have in a coffee shop is wayy better than this machine.. if you have any insights please share.. even the Morphy Richards customer service is pathetic.. not helping at all

  • @MeghaTyagi

    @MeghaTyagi

    Hey, ofcourse it won't match the coffee we get at cafes. They use machines which are worth of lakhs whereas this is less than 5k. But I would stay still say that my medium roast gives a good competition to many coffee houses. Try ccd perfect and also adjust the setting to less strong if you feel coffee is having a burnt flavor.

    I have been using CCD Filter Coffee maker which has two parts, down for water there is one filter to this part and upper part having filter and passage for decoction to pass to upper part. You fill coffee powder in a filter fitted on lower part. You keep on gas stove and decoction is ready in a minute. You mix it in milk and pour it from one to other pot like the skilled road side vendors do. I think that this electric machine filter is quite diluted compared to mine which is quite thick. Unfortunately I lost filter and so I’m doing research what to buy, Rs 5000 worth similar gas stove type Biletti (or some such Italian company) available on Amazon or this one available there. Will put this comment on Amazon also. Thanks for your beautiful video.

    I own this coffee machine since a year now and it is used everyday. I also owned the Mocha Pot( what you mentioned above) as well as South Indian coffee filter both used rarely. The reason i can attribute is ease of making coffee. I have to admit that this coffee maker does not make perfect espresso and there is no crema, precisely because its an entry level machine without enough power to extract a perfect espresso but still it makes decent coffee. So far Blue Tokai attican estate coffee gave me the best tasting coffee with this machine. I would never want to purchase Biletti as its just a mocha pot excessively priced. I use many instant coffees with this Morphy machine using the frothing function and get delicious coffees too when in a hurry. This machine is working very well in my home so I would definitely recommend it to everyone with one disclaimer that i am not a coffee connoisseur and love a decent cup of coffee without putting a hole in my wallet.

    Nice Video.I have this machine..one thing I regret is that, it makes bad espresso.It have only 4 bar of pressure,which is not that great for a good espresso that we usually have in coffee shops. Although it can make a good cappuccino as you have made in this video. Tecnora is an Indian brand I found, is worth checking out which makes a better espresso.

    I agree. The espresso this machine makes is more like drip coffee than the actual espresso which is thicker and more viscous with a golden brown colour; this is a failure as the same drip coffee can be brewed even in a ₹1000 something coffee maker like the one from the brand pigeon or even a French press and even in this, the ground coffee doesn't get extracted as much as it should, making it a totally wrong investment.

  • @MeghaTyagi

    @MeghaTyagi

    3 жыл бұрын

    I agree with the drip coffee part. But then again this does provide you an espresso within 20secs ! And then it's a cappuccino maker too which is why the money is extra! So it's completely on your preference.
