Love your videos and this style! Yes, I have found that flat twists give me volume, stretch, and the direction your hair will end up flowing. Its my favorite, I learned what works over the years just trying things.

Thank you for an excellent video. Experiences show that the twist out is a method that I can live with and get a style that I am happy with. You showed the very techniques that I can use to improve my results. Frequent and long shampoos are not for me and Arthritis in my hands limits the # of twists that I can do. I get more volume with flat twists in the front of my head but in the back I get more volume with two strand twists.

Flat twists definitely give me more volume and I also love to flat twist in the direction I want my hair to go. ❤

Hey, Kay. Awesome video. Quick question though...I recall you had a tapered cut and your hair has grown soooo much. How long did it take for your hair to get to that length? I recently did a big chop due to postpartum shedding and I am looking forward to growing it out well this time. Any tips?

Yes. I apply the Castro oil after the curl cream to seal in the moisture. (I use it as a sealant) I don’t mind at all lol my 4c is mainly in the middle (crown) of my head 😉

Would this work for guys? I’m trying to grow curls but all products I try my hair looks dry and nappy by mid day. Which is not good where I work. What should I use?

Please clarify. "You wash your hair at least no longer than a week and a half ?" Does that mean you wash your hair no less than every week and a half? Your hair looks great!
