I just love watching people growing a beard and we can see the journey
These updates really keep me going. I’ve been growing along with your beard journey. I came SOOOO close to shaving it all off 2 weeks ago due to patcheyness. But I kept watching your vids and it finally looks full and dense. Thanks for helping us out!

I agree, I have tried so many times and could not get past the itching phase. A combo of balm and softener got me past with minimal discomfort. I'm 50 years old and for the first time in my life, I can say I have a full beard.

Hey Greg, I've been growing my beard on and off for 40 years, and man . . . how I wish I had seen your Beard Brand videos somewhere along the way. The models all have good tips to pass on, but you, sir, are the break-out star model/instructor. Before watching your vids, I had never used a hair drier before. But I bought one after watching one of your earlier vids, and it changed my life. But then without prior notice, you shaved it all off and all I could think was "why he did that"? Before Christmas, no less". And then today I see THIS video, and it all comes full circle. Great work, and thank you for your extra effort to use yourself as the model. These are classic how-to videos. They should be shown to all high-school students before leaving school. Thank you!

Greg, I've been watching your videos. I have a beard similar to yours with thinner patches between my goatee and mutton chops. I never felt I'd be able to grow a full beard, but taking your advice I've been able to grow a decent looking beard. Using beard products and styling it into place is a huge help. Still growing, it's about 2" now. Thanks
Bloody hell, you look great for 57! I can't wait to see how you trim your beard whilst coming it in the direction you want. I've always had trouble with this with my own beard

Also being someone with patches, I have always been insecure about them. But hearing you say that your patches don't bother you anymore makes me feel a lot better about my patches. I always have people say my beard looks but I never agree. But seeing you embrace your patches made me feel a little better about mine. And hell, who know my patches might fill in because i am still rather young (early 20's). Keep up the great videos Greg!

*2015 - we passed "peak beard" around 2017.
I’m 9 months into my yeard considering the tweard, the area that was always patchy for me was between the lower lip & chin. It’s still a ways to go but it is definitely more dense giving a fuller look. I really need to pay attention to my moustache as it gets in the way when drinking, eating or giving my wife and daughter a kiss. Greg & Eric are my inspiration to embark on the journey & become a beardsman. Tbh I wouldn’t be without a beard now it’s a part of who I am. Keep on growing
Greg, you've inspired me to grow out a full lengthy beard, rather than keeping it short. I'm very pleased with all the tips and advice that you give in your video's on beard care and grooming. Having said that, my mustache is starting to have a natural curl on its ends, which I'm excited about because that was the style (Handlebar)I was looking for! I'm excited to see just how my beard and mustache will come in, in the upcoming months! Again, thanks for making videos and the inspiration you've given me, Happy New Year to you sir, and God bless!
I'm about 120 days into my beard. Never thought about heating up the mustache wax with the dyer. The Tree Ranger styling balm has made a huge difference, that's for sure. I'm now stuck in that awkward phase where I probaly need to visit a barber shop and begin shaping. Great vid as always Greg. Beard on.
I have bald spots in the same exact location and when I saw you did too and still you had that full wizard beard I was amazed. I'm going round 2 now and keeping the shaver down. Thx
This video has encouraged me to keep growing.... my beard at this stage is very similar to yours and this is where I have cut it off in the past. Seeing your success has given me the motivation to get through this stage and keep the razor in the cabinet. Learning about the use of product has been great! Thanks for your good work Greg. 👍

Man if your profile picture is anything to show.. well done!
I started growing my beard 2 weeks ago and I’m 48. I’ve never had a full beard but I did have a goatee in my late 20s early 30s and it was nice but when I started to gray after a year of having it I shaved it off but now I don’t care about the gray I just want a different look
Thank you for the weekly updates, it helps me gauge my progress as well. My chin hairs are growing much faster than the check hair. The mustache is also covering the lip and I'm trying to train its grow pattern to basically get out of the way. I am noticing that I seem to shed a lot of hairs per day. when I shower oil and comb/brush I get quite a few hairs in the sink but I am going to let it go until day 120 (yes 120) before I get an actual trim
This series has been tremendously helpful. Thanks a lot!
We have the exact same hairstyle, I'm also growing it out and luckily in time with Greg 👌
Wow, that was great. For years I have been making so many mistakes. I have a similar beard pattern so I learned a lot about filling in bare spots.
More great sharing, Greg. Thanks for doing so (and to Beardbrand). Hope your holidays were happy ones.♥

Greg, thanks so much. I’m at 4 weeks and my beard looks great but I have a patch right above my jaw on one side which is very sparse. I’ve been stressing that it’ll always be visible. Watching this gave me hope that it will be covered eventually.
Thanks Greg you really have given me a lot of confidence my beard is looking better each day... Ive thought about cutting it each day, but these videos give me hope.

Just subscribed. Growing a beard for the first time since I was 27. That time it was ginger so it came off. I am now 62....this time it’s white. Just approaching week 4. All good so far, a couple of low growth areas but filling in nicely as the hair grows. Still a bit self conscious but enjoying these videos.
Awesome video, my gaps will shrink from now on with this tip and mustache styling experiments to begin. Nice one Greg. 🤙
Me and you have almost the same patches so this helps out a lot! Thanks a a lot buddy. We love ya for this!
These videos are extremely helpful in learning how to style a beard thank you
Awesome video. There are many things that you think yourself and wonder how would you do it and never discuss that with your fellows, but this video certainly has answered so many things that I wanted to know about growing and keeping and maintaining my beard. Cheers

Beardbrand helped me so much in growing out my Beard
This is my first time growing my beard week two now looking ok for right now.
Started my Beard again the same time as you, as i have a baldy or thin left sideburn, still have it Grr. the only parts i have trimmed are my neck line and tash. really wish i had just used tashbalm. keep up the good work Greg.
Question for Greg!!! Greg, I am having a small basal cell carcinoma removed from my cheek in a few weeks and am growing some beard length to keep the stitches covered. I’d love to let this thing flow for real. I try to keep my beard neat and consistently shave my neckline. I’ve also always trimmed my length at that hard neck line as my hair is textured a lot like yours and doesn’t have much curl. I end up with a full beard that never grows “long” or stands off my chin. It’s always brushed down and only as long as it can be before I trim it at the neck line. I am befuddled as to how I get from a flat beard, combed straight down and trimmed underneath to a beard that stands away from my chin. I’m following your 90 day grow on KZread but am hoping you may have some advice for me. When your beard is long, like when you shaved in October, what are you doing underneath at your neck line? Hope this makes sense! Love the videos. Kindest regards, Brandon
Greg defending his son and even going as far as to comparing him with The Wolverine says a lot about him as a father. Your son has big shoes to fill in sir.
HI Greg, thanks for the video. What do you think of a heated ionic beard straightening instead of a hair dryer?
I love these videos. So helpful. Thank you
You would never think looking at Greg's fully grown, long beard, that this is how that majestic mane starts out. Inspirational for guys with patchy beards.
You seem like a good dad to praise your child like you do enjoy the vids
Greg, you have a new fan from NZ. You have inspired me to let my mustache grow out
Loving the vid!
Really appreciate this video. I'm six weeks into my beard and my mustache is like a boars hair brush. Super stiff compared to the rest of my beard, and the hairs over my lip were annoying the hell out of me. Thanks again, your tip with the heat worked great.
Looking fantastic, Greg!
Remember guys, not everyone grows the same. I'm at 2 months and I still have a sparse beard. My dads took 6 months to grow his out. It takes time. I have to remind myself that we are not all built the same. 2 mth full growth for one guy, could 6 to 7 months for another.

This really is one of the best beard trimming videos I've ever seen. You beard is very similar to mine, but my hair is little gray, and blondish-red.
Good to see my beard mentor back in the realms of beardsmen. Beard on..
Looking great. Thanks for these videos.
Time and patience will fix most of the problems guys have with their beards. You just gotta let it grow.
Crazy at the at 20 you had a mustache mine came in at a very young age maybe 13 years old. My beard came in maybe 2 years ago. But have the same problem with that patchy part. But am using natural remedies and I see slow baby’s hairs.truly glad I have a 95% of people don’t have 🙌🏽 pops has a beard but it’s not all full. Anyway without this channel I would of never thought of growing my beard out. Once I got older I didn’t like shaving baby face as much. Grew out of it and now am in love with growing a beard but hate the wait time😭
👍Great info! I might just have hope then - im 36 and my beard seems to be getting thicker year by year.
I did movember this year sacrificed the beard kept the tash, but I started growing it back again in December and it's growing really thick and fast, i have decided not to cut or trim for 6 months to see how long I can get it as I have always kept a medium length beard, loving the growth progress, btw thank you for the mustache tip really help 😁
You have to respect a man who consistently takes care of and grooms himself like this at the age of 57.
Excellent Honest Video!! Keep them coming
It's all about time 💪
Hi Greg, you are the perfect example of a man who looks much, much better with a beard... Interesting video!
I see the moustache covering my upper lip in a month (I'm growing by beard now). That's a great tip that I will most definitely take in account. Thank you for your great channel!!
I been waiting on this video
Happy New Yeae beard lovers
Happy newyear sir castoroil how much days are using for best results
Wow, what a guy. He earns a living with his beard. Respect!
90 days in off a 5 month growth that I should’ve not cut. At 5 months I had not found my terminal length overall but noticed slower growth areas you have mentioned. If I had seen your videos before I cut I would be rocking a 8-9 month beard. At 90 days a honest estimate would be 2.3 to 2.5 inches. I have been trimming my upper lip. I will try waxing and product in the future. 63 years old at 57 I had thicker hair like you. Male patten has kicked in now and thinning
Great video! Thanks!
can you tell me how to wash the beard or take care of it while in the shower? with or without products
I have more than one inch of growth at 4 weeks, but I don't have density (having black hair doesn't help), I cut my mustache often also to keep it from going into my mouth. It gets long but not thick so it lays flat. I can't use products because it takes away the width of the mustache, looks like a line. Your confidence in showing bald spots to the world motivates me to continue growing my facial hair. Can't wait for your patches to fill in.

day 63 of the yeard, never grown my neck hair this long. before I have a parting through the middle! yikes! plus I can't connect my goatee. thanks for the update greg, great video as always
I'm lucky with the mustache vs checks growth...meaning i have a longer face so my mustache isn't huge like his, even though it grows strong it doesn't overpower my cheeks lack of growth ( compared to check growth) but i do have similar patches to him. I'm currently on 2 months & haven't grown my beard past that but this is the first time I'm going past that and 3 months will be Dec 24. I recommend writing down your start date then every month, it helps if you ever have doubts b/c you know exactly what day of growth your on and how close you are to the next one. I'm the type of guy who doesn't care for beard products nor care about others opinions on my growth ( i wasn't at first ) but i have the mindset of an all-natural Viking beard & time is my enemy. I'm 26 with a 50/50 beard (@2months my opinion)
I’m 16 years old and I have a lot of hair grown on my moustache chin and sideburns, however I have sensitive and dry skin which worsens below my bottom lip, will this prevent growth in that area ? And if not will it cause any problems and how do I deal with that with a beard
100%. Keep inspiring brother.
Ive got 6 week of growth, new to beards.its patchy in places.im leaving it but how do I trim it?i don't want a barber to touch it.and don't want to use hair clippers.as sometimes it randomly cuts close.do I just use scissors to trim it?not sure how to shape it and were cut.mine grows simlair to yours.im leaving the cheeks as natural as possible.just cut a few stray hairs which are far up on there own.just shave the normal neck line.but never left it this long, nit sure when to trim it with scissors and were.or dies the shape happen naturally.maye I will know when it happens?
I just shaved off my eight week beard and now I have beard remorse!!!
Also at what point do a cut the tash on the lip.im just worried, when I do trim it I cut to much or it's not right
Seeing Greg’s beard this short gives me hope for mine.
My challenging area is my left sideburn is very patchy and does not connect with my head hair there is a gap. My right sideburn is great I have a full thick sideburn.
the wave curl of the hair is nice
Wish i had your mustache growth Greg, btw that length looks alot better especially with your hair.
I grew from September through late December until a slight trim was necessary. However, I found my lamb chops aka bozo the clown look frustrating (exacerbated by a medical mask mandate for sleeping). So, I made a senior management decision to go down to a 16mm length. Still a work in progress; but, I am more comfortable with the shorter look. Truly appreciate Beardbrand products, videos and advice. Consider them quite helpful and instructive. Good growth and health gents. Later...
I didn’t like my gap stache I have for the first 2 months or so. Now a little over 3 months in I have learned to accept it as my own. I’ve seen a lot of ppl who can’t even grow a mustache so I’ve learned that mine isn’t nearly as bad as I thought (you can see by my videos that it isn’t that bad) But to me my gap in my stache was horrible. I am deff my own worst critic but learning to not be now and I feel I’m doing a good job of it. Edit: Greg said pushing up Daisy’s lol I was actually listening to push the lil Daisy’s by ween while watching this video haha
I'm about 5 to 6 weeks in my first time ever growing a beard my chin/under chin, soul patch and mustache grows fatser always had a soul patch just trimmed it and grow mustache and goatee before but always shaved cheeks. My cheeks are filling in ok just the right side is patchy but I can see more hairs coming out. Hoping by another month every thing will come together a little bit better
I wish I could have patches where you do. I mostly have one right below my chin, which is like the worst possible area, because when I grow my beard out, it becomes scraggly, basically see-through.
I have 2 months of growth now on my very first beard to try at 60 yrs old, and just this morning I cut some fly away hairs that have been bugging me. Now I hear you on this video say do NOT cut fly away hairs. Can you tell me the thinking behind that? I find that an hour or two after using beard balm I have quite a few fly away hairs. Should I just reapply beard balm several times a day to keep fly aways controlled? I am thinking my beard might be more coarse than average; not sure since I don't go around feeling other men's beards, lol.
@LY-jm9vu
4 жыл бұрын
Greg has said not to cut today’s fly away hairs because tomorrow they may not be fly away hairs. What you are doing is thinning your beard. I can’t give advice myself as I’m growing my first beard at 58. Similar to you. I’m just at week 3 of growth.
Pritt stick is a good alternative to wax it dries where you want it and washes out easy
Really you look amazing and my beard pattern also like you thank your for this video
