    Everyone! Here I want to correct what I said in the video. The Quixel assets are not free to use for Blender other than just to tweak the assets and render them in Unreal Engine. Otherwise, you have to subscribe to Quixel for you to use it in other 3D software. I apologize for such a mistake. I'll be more careful with what information I share in the future. 🙏🏻

    REMINDER TO EVERYONE: Quixel assets are free to use only within Unreal Engine, unless you buy their subscription, which gives you a certain number of points every month to purchase assets from Quixel Bridge to use in other DDCs. Also, why would you render something 'cinematic' in Eevee instead of Cycles? 😕

  • @piyushbhagwat3119

    @piyushbhagwat3119

    It's free to use in blender too

  • @ObscureHedgehog

    @@piyushbhagwat3119 "free to use" is an oversimplification of the terms of agreement by Epic on the use of Megascans assets outside of Unreal Engine. You're "free" to use it in the sense where you can take the asset to Blender, make some changes, and then import it back to Unreal for rendering. If you're not on a subscription, all final renders with any Megascans asset has to be done within UE, and not rendered and published through any other DCC. If you purchase a subscription, then you can.

    @@ObscureHedgehog You would use Eevee because Cycles would take days to render a few seconds. And also, how would they know what you used to render though? Especially if you had made changes first.

    Thanks! Depends on what you want to achieve for example if you want to show something huge, you can put another subject that is small compared to the huge one. That will make your scene doesn't look flat.
