How I Made Nezuko's Travel Box from Demon Slayer

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I became Tanjiro Kamado, by building a life sized, wearable replica of Nezuko's travel box from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba out of real wood and metal.

    I’ve been looking for ages on how to make an accurate Nezuko box. This was exactly what I was looking for. I was thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail and extra thought put into everything! I’d like to recreate this for a family friend’s older teenager, but I am unfortunately not a woodworker. Would you happen to have any tips or recommendations who/where I could go to for help with this project? If it’s not any trouble, would you mind giving an estimate on the thickness and type of wood I should use if I give you the measurements and weight requirements?

    What the--how the f does this video not have a bajillion views/likes/comments/flirty creeps?! You teach how to do this totally dope project in less than 8 minutes and you're so concise yet still thorough, and also funny! ... so you married or what's the deal here? Cram them long handsome gams of yours in that box and I'll carry you around forever, you reincarnation of Daedalus~ Real talk thank you for making this (truly). I'm totally amazed by the quality of the box as well as the quality of your videos. I thought for sure you were some super Tuber millionaire dude! I rarely (maybe never?) subscribe to KZread channels and I'm 99% sure this is my first KZread comment ever, but your tutorial and channel were just too good to pass by without saying/doing anything. Originally I was just gonna have chatgpt watch you and then gimmie the juicy bits, but not gonna lie I got straight hooked on Demon Slayer as soon as it started and once that happened, it was too late for me to remember what I was gonna do. You got a website? A shop page? A little book of wisdom? You ever use MDF for making props (it's mainly what I use)? I made the Master Sword from LoZ OoT with 3/4-inch MDF and the weight of it made it feel more realistic (as opposed to foam or plastic). I made the Hylian shield too but it was so GD thick and heavy... way more dangerous than the sword. If someone were hit with it, they'da been dead for sure. What will you make next time aside from one of the Keyblades from the Kingdom Hearts series (please Mr. Kyle sir pls)? Princess Mononoke has some good choices in it (variety of weapons!). Mimics from Dragon Quest would be cool to see, maybe a little challenging because of the teeth and tongue details? Final Fantasy's mimics have less ... I guess "dental" details so might be less time consuming to do? WAIT I KNOW -- make the King of Red Lions, Link's sailboat in LoZ: Wind Waker. That would be so super totally terrific.

  • @KyleMerriman

    @KyleMerriman

    Жыл бұрын

    My box ended up being 11" wide, 11" deep, and 22" high, but I'm a pretty tall guy, so those definitely aren't the same dimensions that Tanjiro's box would have. For your daughter's box I would recommend measuring the distance from the base of her neck down to her waist, using that as the box's height, and then dividing it in half for the depth and width (so for example if it ended up at 20" it would be 10" deep and 10" wide). The base of the box is a square, so the depth and width will always be the same.

    Off the top of my head if I were to make one out of cardboard I would replace all of the metal edge pieces with black tape. That would help the box to stay together and look right at the same time! Tape would work for the hinges as well. There's this stuff called gorilla tape which is the right colour and super nice to work with - I'd recommend trying that!
