How I learned to code in 3 months (and got several offers)
Ғылым және технология
As a business graduate whose brain was melting playing around with tabs in an Excel sheet, I decided to learn to code. In this video I detail my 3 month journey.

Only morons like you think its that difficult.
That's really cool. I am 52yo and learned C++ all by myself in 1991-1992. This led me to code damn cool systems and understand how the system worked under the hood. Fast forward to present day, I am running my own business since 22+ years and everything had been paid by writing code, specs, and stuff related to code in this beauty of a place I would never ever have dreamed of when I was debugging low level concurrent serial port code in the corner of the bedroom. Code is power.
thanks for putting out this information and telling us about your journey. I have always struggled with code but also always knew that I really need to be just sitting down and forcing myself to know it intimately if I want to really get a good job somewhere. I look forward to watching more of your videos and reaching out from time to time when I get discouraged with the process. thanks again.
I've been coding professionally for +20 years and enjoyed this video very much. You have the drive to do what most don't.

Great video, inspiring stuff! I chipped away at coding for an hour or two a day for a year before learning full-time for 8 weeks until I get my first job. It's a grind but one I'll never regret
It's incredible that you did ALL of this in just 3 months. Honestly, I would have have sat just with one of these for more than 3 months. Shows me where and what I need to work on(mostly mental). Thanks for this video. Hope you upload more content
I love you story. Watch your video for the second time today. I find that it's hard to focus in on one thing and you have done a great job of it. Technology is such a large topic. Thank you for the video, honesty, the passion, and energy you bring to us. Again thank you. There are so many youtubers with videos out there and you can tell it's not genuine and honest.
One of the best vids on this subject I've seen on YT, and I've seen a lot.

Could I learn it well enough to get a job, if I only worked 30 hours out of a 4 day work week ( keep in mind at my job we work 10 hour shifts) and spent 6 hours on my days off practicing coding each day for 3 months, studying MOOC’s, and keeping logs of notes?

@@bassplayer807 It depends on many factors. What do you want to learn, where do you want to work, what background do you have and how can you represent yourself? Also how smart are you and how used to teaching yourself are you? Search for a promising technology and start to learn it. Maybe think about a small project you'd like to do and work on it. At the same time you should learn about coding fundamentals and good coding practices. Good luck and keep on it. Learning to code is hard in the beginning, but the longer you keep going the more rewarding it will be :)
This video is perhaps the best guide to learn anything you want. Currently implenting it, and I got to say. It works like a charm!

Thanks for the advice bro! Im on a similar path, just did 4 years of business and honestly, I feel like if a person wants to study business take micro/macro economics and watch CNBC for 6 months. Alot of business comes down to policies and procedures and studying algorithms and being able to create software puts you in a much more powerful position in a business setting. Yes. This year I started with some pet projects. 1) an etl tool 2) an awk clone for windows 3) a scripting language whose main feature is talking to serial and network connected devices
This moment I just have a cellphone and no laptop or desktop, but this inspires me to code with what I have in hands or gaining more estabilished focus starting from that point. (Also using this comment as a notebook for picking up important stuff): 1. Books 2. Videos. 3. Leetcode problems 4. Pet Projects

He really did this in one take. You sir are fantastic.
His advices are pretty practical. Grab that book and learn your basics! And drill those leetcode, but 300 of them is too much... 100 should be more than enough as long as your practices are deliberate. If you want those good size company and good salary, you will need those basics and leetcode - unless you have got some super duper awesome unforgettable projects.

Hi Coding Jesus! Chanced upon your channel yesterday and I must say you make great educational videos! I just graduated from an engineering degree and I find most entry-level engineering jobs require a some what decent level of coding experience. Since last year during lockdown, I have been trying to learn how to code and create simple applications, but I get really lazy and unmotivated at times. Yea but leetcode problems are way over my level :( My friends said its because my understanding of Data structures and algo is not strong. What are some books you might recommend and how do you stay focused?

Coding Jesus - I’m here to be blessed! Show me the way!
The gift that you have, and I'm sure you're aware of this on some level, is that you know what you want (you knew you didn't want to do front-end web development, and that you wanted something specifically related to finance), and you have the drive and the wherewithal to do it. I want to learn to code really mainly to move on from the retail job that I have, and also to hopefully be involved in game development someday. Is there a language you would recommend for that specifically? C++ is intimidating to me and I've also been given to understand that you should really know more than one anyway, so I've already bought a book on Python, but like you, I don't really want to do web development.
I BLINDLY TRUST YOU MAN ❤❤
Thank You Jesus

This is the exact fucking video i was searching for.
Your method is exactly what i did but with python (minus books, because python is luckily quite easy and doing pet projects is enough) after a corporate finance degree. Now, i'm leading towards c++ and wanted some guidance and it seems that my initial method could work again, but with a bit more efforts :) I am also strangely confused by the fact that this video has been posted on my birthday haha
