    I enjoyed the silence with nothing but skateboard popping sounds and background noises the most

    You have great patience and a good detailed structured plan when trying to get new tricks. If you keep that up I'm sure you will get a whole bunch of new tricks. I try to start off like this but then get frustrated and move on to stuff I know I can do. In the end I either dont learn the trick or it takes me far longer than it should do.

    ah, thank you. I'm not entirely free from that myself of course 😆 Sometimes, I put a trick away for a while because it's frustrating, but as long as we keep coming back, we'll keep getting a little better 💪

    Keep practicing and dont give up, this trick is really hard. Just a quick tip, if you try to pop it like a fs shove it it is harder to get that 180 rotation. Put your back foot lower on the tail, to the pocket, It helped me a lot.

    NICE, you got some of those! Excited to see when you get them more consistent. I’m starting to work on varial flips, and oof… I’m not very close yet.

    I'll try to learn it. I never really been able to do a heel flip. But I need to learn or relearn each part.

    For anyone learning this trick, obviously for varial heels it's good to be able to have both heelflips and fs shuvs down, but then people make the mistake of setting their front foot up like a heelflip and their back foot back like a front shove and starting from there. This one of those tricks where you need to figure out a new position for both your feet for this specific trick, and most of the action is on the back foot and with a minimal movement of the front foot just to get the board to flip. Just play with different foot positions, focus on the back foot popping and scooping forward, and the front maybe kicks up and out diagonally like 3 inches (not all the way up the board) just to get it flipping and eventually you'll figure it out and once you land it once you'll start being able to land it more consecutively like like every other trick you've learned up to this point.

    0:55 I keep doing that. I've had some bad falls and splits trying to do 360 shuvs. Learned very quickly falling at 30 is a lot different than falling at 12 years old. At 0:37 is that a pressure flip? You were able to flick your board with just the backfoot, pretty neat stuff.

    I wasn't doing any pressure flips intentionally in this video I don't think 🤔 But I do like pressure flips haha

    i've always had better luck with heelflips/heelflip variations when i don't hang my toes off the board. i usually use similar foot position as i would for ollies/kickflips. when i hang my toes i whiff the flick. my feet are way bigger than yours fwiw

    Would you say it's easier with a street deck or a freestyle deck?

  • @SarahParkMatott

    @SarahParkMatott

    Well...you'd think more concave would help from the street decks, but I think the lighter weight helps me get more power to shove it 💪

    Just for a experiment... it looks like you're doing better with your freestyle board.. you should try smaller harder wheel on your freestyle board just for this trick n maybe hard flip... speed is key n the shuv needs to come forward by maybe half inch ... if the wheel slides on the ground better it could achieve...

    @@SarahParkMatott yes ... totally make sense.... i had to say something because youre trying manual and varial heel and saw you try hard flip as well.... and longer wheel base means steeper pop requiring more jump and bending legs ... anyways ill shut up LOL 수고...

    I feel like the foot placement for this trick is with the back foot in the pocket and still the back foot, like duck footed kind of lol
