    Collagen peptides are freaking amazing! I'm 51 and it's been almost 1 year of collagen and biotin. My hair looks really healthy and strong. It's thickened up a little but my growth has shown twice as much length retention each month.

    I love your advice. I recently had a major skin issue that caused me to cut my shoulder length to the scalp. It was devastating. Olaplex saved me. I used number 0,3,6,7. People that have a problem with them, do it wrong. It is a treatment NOT A conditioner. They seem Never to read the instructions or call the company. You will notice a big difference w the 2nd use. Breakage slows right away.

    YES! THIS! 🙌🏿 All of these tips are gold. I also have relaxed and healthy hair and I have been using almost all of the tips that you have mentioned. For me, washing my hair multiple times a week is equal to high manipulation and stripping the hair for no reason. So I tend to do the same thing you do and stretch the wash day out a bit with maintenance in between. I also use a wide tooth comb and recently got into finger detangling especially in the shower. Worked wonders!

  • @IannaYvonne

    @IannaYvonne

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hello. Thank you for watching! As for your question, olaplex is excellent for hair breakage. However if your hair is shedding it may not help much. How is your nutrition? You may need supplements if it’s lacking. Also how is your scalp health? Dandruff, dryness inflammation? Scalp health is sooo important for hair health. If so you may need to address these issues with a good scalp oil/treatment. I use a vegan oil that helped my dryness. Also address any circulation issues with scalp massage. If you are noticing other symptoms with the shedding ( like unexplained weight loss) it could be hormonal as well.

However a good lightweight leave in is the innersense organic beauty sweet spirit leave in. Won’t weigh down your hair but is still super hydrating. I just uploaded a video on moisturizing leave ins if your interested 💕

    Flaky, that's maybe dandruff. Get ketoconazole or selsun blue

  • @IannaYvonne

    @IannaYvonne

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hello! I agree.... the flaking could be dandruff which is often due to fungal overgrowth or Oily scalp. If the flakes at large, yellowish and your scalp is red and oily, you should try antifungal shampoo like selsun blue or shampoo with tea tree oil if your have a sensitive scalp. If the flakes or smaller and your skin is dry in other places then you simply have dry scalp. I would moisturize my scalp with a light oil. I used an oil called Unlay but mielle rosemary mint scalp oil is a very good drug store product for a dry itchy scalp. 💕

  • @hrhsophiathefirst4060

    @hrhsophiathefirst4060

    It could also be seborrhic dermatitis which looks like dry flaky skin as opposed to dandruff, you also have some dryness on your face. If your eyebrows are also flaky sometimes that is a dead giveaway. My derm recommended Tsal from Neutrogena as it exfoliates the scalp. Shampoo and leave on the scalp for 5 to 10 minutes twice. Wash after with moisturizing shampoo and condition. Also adding a bit of rosemary, tea tree oil or peppermint to your deep conditioner.

    Hello! Thank you for watching 💕 I use heat on my roots/new growth ONLY once a month. I do not use direct heat on my ends at all. ( only indirect heat from roller set once a month at the salon). I wash biweekly so once a month I wash at home and I use NO heat at this time. I let my new growth be as curly as it likes 😆. I have a video detailing my at home wash day ( NO heat) on my channel. I also include my salon visit hair care in my last video which is a week in my hair VLOG, if your interested in checking it out. Please do shampoo after protective style@ like updos and what products you recommend. I will begin my hair journey when my products arrive. I have thinning at crown of head, so I'm really looking forward to using the Unlay. Thanks for helping us relaxed ladies.

    Hello! When my hair has breaking i usually treat with either protein or moisturizing deep conditioners ( depending on the need). I do this bi-weekly. I also use either low manipulation styles, protective styles or both. I also moisturize my hair excessively. Trim if your noticing split ends. Also look into your relaxer. You may need to use a lower strength or switch all together. Good luck. Thanks for watching 💕
