William Browder is the founder and CEO of Hermitage Capital Management. He was the largest foreign investor in Russia until November 2005, when he was suddenly denied entry to the country and declared “a threat to national security” by the Russian government for exposing corruption at large Russian companies. Since 2009 when his lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky, died in a Russian prison after uncovering a US$230 million fraud committed by Russian government officials, Browder has been leading a global campaign to expose the corruption and human rights abuses endemic in Russia. Mr. Browder recently published a bestselling book entitled Red Notice: A True Story of High Finance, Murder, and One Man’s Fight for Justice, which recounts his experience in Russia and ongoing fight for justice for Sergei Magnitsky. Before founding Hermitage, Browder was Vice-President at Salomon Brothers. He holds a BA (Honours) in Economics from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Stanford Business School.

WHY does this video have so few views ?! The title needs to be redone. Also, this man wrote a genius book - The Red Notice. It's amazing and I recommend it to everyone. Brilliant

From the comments below, it appears this video upsets Putin. It is good to know that there are good people, like Mr Browder and so many in Russia and China, in the world. Long live Russia! Russia without Putin!

Russia before Putin was being robbed blind by US 'economists', Western controlled international financial institutional vultures and corrupt Russian oligarchs. Sadly for you, Russians know this only too well. He stopped the hemorrhaging of Russian assets and has built up their reserves to an unprecedented extent. They will ride out this latest attack by Western financial powers and make the transition in joining China to help lead a new safer multi-polar world.

Because the camera filming the audience is in a fixed position and is not being manned by anybody. How do I know? Because I can see it on the stage. You could too, if only you weren't more interested in swallowing the jizm fed to you by the pro-Putin troll team.

No. That was something put out therein an attempt to discredit him. It's called 'disinformation'. The Russians are experts at it.

This talk is egregiously miss-titled. The subject has nothing to do with inventing the iPad. The subject of the talk is Russian human rights abuse and the creation of the Magnitsky Act to fight the abuses and get some justice for Sergei Magnitsky. This is a brilliant talk; I am thankful for Bill Browder and his incredible and heroic work - he has put his life on the line - to combat Russian human rights abuse and corruption.

That's because he is a devious conman - the desperate reality is that the British Intelligence Services use him as a Russian expert. If that doesn't make you realise what a shill he is, nothing will.

Hey Bill, how much is $4 billion compared to the wealth of the poorest Russian? How many poor Russians did you rip off by illegally buying their allotment of privitised Gasprom shares at kopeks in the Rouble, when you repackaged them for the European market through the Cyprus shell?
