Lazy Natural Gang! Where you at? I’m almost waist length and I just prepoo, wash, deep condition and style with either the LOC/LCO or the LAOC methods. 90% of the time, my hair is in twists. Big or small. That’s it. Been doing it since 2013.

I agree with what you said about the products. I live in the US and I have to say that early in my natural hair journey having so many options was actually overwhelming especially because most of the KZreadrs were doing product reviews every week. Once I stopped paying attention to all of that and focused on what made my hair feel good my hair retained so much more length. While it’s great to see black women making a living on KZread I really wish the natural hair movement hadn’t quite so commercialized.

Mini twists will GROW your hair! Literally the best hair style to grow your hair. I do rollersets a few times a year, and flat iron a few times a year for trims, and get it braided with extensions a few times a year....but the other 6 months, mini twists. I wash my hair like once a month so I do light protein once a month. I am so upset I waisted YEARS doing roller sets and twists outs and trying to get a wash n go...a mess smh.

Two video suggestions: Would you consider doing a current Washday routine (Start to Finish)? Either 1. Washday when you hair is open and you're preparing for a protective style (twists)... Or, 2. Washday when your hair is already in the protective style (twists), maintenance etc. Both would be great 😁 thanks..

I have been natural my entire life with long thick kinky hair. Im in my 40s. I was a straight natural as you guys call it. Pressing and curling my hair was all I knew it was a way of styling. I transitioned to my curls in 2k9 and i was tailbone til 2k18. I decided to straighten my hair after being on meds and a long illness and having a couple surgery. I had no idea that my hair was weak from meds and I wasn't doing protein treatments. My hair was severely heat damaged and in some areas it was to my scalp. I cut my hair to wait length and then trimmed large amounts monthly til my hair was shoulder length. 95% of the damage was cut off. But my thickness was gone. My hair has been in rehab ever since and I keep it in protective styles all the time and I wear wraps and wigs. Its is currently back at waist length and the thickness is coming back. I still trim but not as much but I keep some type of protein in my regimen weekly. My goal is hip and thigh length just to see if I can do it. I know it will get to tailbone its been there most my life. I am a super lazy natural. I can be the president of the club if not the founder lol 😆... Less is more sistas. Dont take your hair so seriously that you don't enjoy it or the journey that your on bcus it would be a waste of precious time. So enjoy learning on this life's journey all of it!

I always did the bare minimum to my hair. I am not into any fancy hairstyles. I always liked simple and boring. So I think that is why my has always been long. Most women love to play in their hair and let's not forget when they get a sew in or wig they neglect their hair underneath. Also the braids underneath the weave is taking out their hair because it is not braided properly. This is the biggest problem to why they can not retain length.

This is so true although I don't necessarily agree with the term lazy natural because there are a lot of people out here that don't quite understand or get the gist of what that actually entails. Remember a lot of us are actually talking to babies we are teaching baby infant ears so if you say lazy natural then they tend to believe oh I don't have to do anything and before long the hair dries out gets knotted up breaks off and that's it. It's pretty much the work you put into it you love and care and you tend for your garden. You need to water the garden when the season gets cold you need to put an insulation to protect the roots protect the soil underneath. When I was a child they were still certain things that are similar to Dave that my parents did with me and my siblings. Hot oil treatments leave-in conditioning oiling the scalp and sealing in the moisture

Hello bobo.... haha! I know that name!... I have left my hair for 8 weeks then braided it again its 6 weeks in now. Don't miss it - it was too much work! Its growing well now been natural for 10 years and length was only 10 inches at the back which was so frustrating. I kept doing styles every day - no more!. And I have so much products I can literally start a shop - none of them helped!. So not going back to any hair store until everything is finished and that wont be for about 1 year, disgusting I know! I have fine hair - it appears to want to be left alone!

I infuse my diy deep conditioner with ayurvedic herbs this way it rinses out easier and its mess free. Majority of the time i keep my hair in flat twists for at least 2-3 weeks. Occasionally i do a combo of mini twists/flat twists just to have a different look.

Another important thing about how frequently to wash is your scalp. How does your scalp respond to stretching wash days? If you have scalp issues like seborrheic dermatitis, it’s best to wash at least once a week. My scalp was not responding well at all when I washed every 2 weeks.

Now I prepoo with essential oils(teatree, rosemary, lavender) and coconut(90%)+ avocado oil and i leave it overnight then wash my hair. My scalp never flaked again its been 3 months and now i wash my hair every two weeks and moisturize my scalp with the same mixture 1 week after my washday you should try it it saved my scalp!

I'm a lazy new natural😂😂😂. My issue is trying to find products that work. Once I do I am always looking for alternatives for my holy grails because often I find when I go to repurchase my favs they are out of stock but I'm also learning I'm not heavy handed when applying products so my products tend to last longer. I just discovered how to mini twist my hair and it's been my go to style for the past 2 months because I do not not enjoy doing my 4B, 4C hair. I love being able to leave my hair alone for 1-2 weeks. Wash and go's are a no because of my texture. It looks like a fro😂😂😂😩😩😩. I use to love Shea moisture but they come out with a new line and retire a line everyday...ultimately it forced me to try other brands. I have a few staples and that's it. It's been working for me for the past few months. I thought or felt weird because I wasn't the typical wash and go natural but honestly I'm ok with it because I was super lazy when I was relaxed and my hair was bra strap length. I guess being lazy is not that bad😂😂😂.

Girl! I hear you👏🏽I’m not going name names BUT…there’s channels out here with all these diy oils, and masks, “hair to the tailbone” …however, these practices have never worked for me. I guess because I’m a lazy natural too😁…I’m not obsessed with my hair. I just want it to grow, be it’s healthiest…I don’t have time to devote multiple hours everyday to devotional hair schedules.

*What is the Gospel?* The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Romans 10:9 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. JESUS CHRIST can come anytime! Just Believe ❤️ Love you and GOD BLESS
