Uncomfortable Saves (as shown in the video: 5CB2-6D82-1B54-47B7) along with Backboard Clears (F1D5-36FA-257C-80A8) and Defensive Backboard Reads (DABC-E5BB-F347-A7BC) are also great training packs. I'm still a hardstuck diamond, but at least these are also good packs. Plus, the advice you mentioned, Liint, is what I've heard from many people of much higher ranks. Thus, it's good advice.

Training packs are madly underrated.

Mechanics don’t matter at all. I’m a C3. Low champ Is possible with just the basic mechanics. Wave dash, half flip, fast aerial. Good defense, hitting the ball hard, and playing as permanent 3rd man gets you c1, simple double taps are a good bonus. Playing smart > mechanics I’m very mechanical, so I’m a bit hypocritical, but it’s true nonetheless. Diamonds are stupid. Save your boost, play off of your teammate, and capitalize on the enemy’s mistakes. Bait them to challenge, fake them out, etc. Diamonds will CONSTANTLY ballchase, and I’ve RARELY come across one that ever faked intentionally or slowed down the play intentionally. Because of this, they fall for fakes and powerslide cuts extremely easy.. and half the time their teammate is right behind them chasing the ball too. Get it past one, you normally get it past both. Regardless, get it past one and it’s a 1v2. (Also shadow defense is essential. Defensive fake challenges are great to make a diamond nervous)

The best advice I give lower ranks, I forgot to mention this: If your teamate is ballchasing, let him ballchase. If your teammate misses a lot, play cautiously, rarely crossing midfield, etc. That’s what I meant by play off your teammate.

I know it's a physics game but I find my car REALLY swings loosely if that makes sense. I have a difficult time keeping it moving smoothly without being jarred from any air touch.

The fact that people dont spend at least as much time,if not more, in training and freeplay as they do playing ranked blows my mind. It doesnt matter how good your mechanics are when you have 12 yr old teammates that troll the whole time, think they have rlcs mechanics, and start playing for the other team after you accidentally team bump or insure a goal(steal)
