hi! im a freshman in high school this year, and NYU has been my dream school since 7th grade. everyone keeps telling me not to worry about college because im only a freshman, but i know how hard it is to get into NYU so im trying to do everything i can do to get in. any advice on what extracurricular activities to do? im in clubs and stuff, but i heard u have to have 10 extracurriculars for NYU and i only have 6. thanks!:)

doesn't matter HOW MANY extracurriculars i think it's more so how involved you are in those activities, it's better to have fewer activities that you are extremely commited to, than shallow commitment in tons of activities

Grades aren’t the only thing that matters. Essays are a big part. They want someone not only who is smart, but can show through their essays that they are well-rounded and have potential to be greatness.

I think the best way to describe how they accept people is that they are selling a product (their name and services) and they are looking for investors or customers that are going to make the best out of it. They are looking for the best students who will make they best out of what they were offered. And I think the why nyu essay is about showing what you want to do with what they give you like the courses professors and clubs. And the other essay shows them about you and how you grew up or learned or had an experince that stuck with you. Maybe that's the problem.

How tf can you get into NYU WITH A FULL RIDE w a 1380 in the SAT and a 28 in the ACT. Also, is the 4.0 GPA on a scale to 5.0? Cuz you took AP classes. How can you get into NYU with a full ride with a 4.0 on a scale to 5.0😐
