My daughter and I recently inherited 3 estate jewelry collections from my grandmother, my mom & my little sister, all 3 of whom were prone to traveling throughout the southwest to gamble & who also loved to wear & buy turquoise quite often, so We ended up with some gorgeous authentic Mexican pieces & signed pieces by indigenous artists - none of which come close to comparison with any of yours, in fact, I've never seen anything like some of the things in your videos! Thanks for sharing these wonderful things with the world! I feel like I'm on private tours of exclusive museums or galleries from around the world whenever I'm looking at your videos! So blessed! ❤

About a decade ago, I serendipitously stumbled upon the book "Treasures of the American Southwest: the Millicent Roger's Collection". I immediately got the turquoise and silver bug. In the following years, I have filled 14 jewelry boxes with my finds, mostly from the thirties through the seventies, but upon seeing your pieces, I'm completely in awe. Knowing those pieces are loved, honored and safely kept is so reassuring to a lover of beautiful things...thanks as always for your work and your sharing...

She is a jewelry expert and a massive collector just as you are. She works hard to educate others of the value of vintage pieces versus what is currently available (at least with costume jewelry). I use all of those books. I have a collection of Native American alot from him a passion of mine since I saw a Squash Blossom at 7. I have a friend that sells and knows turquoise, I have learned so much. You are speaking my language!!!! I don't feel a lecture when I learn something!!

Fascinating. As someone from Scotland this is all fairly new to me, and interesting, don’t worry about lecturing, videos always feel like sharing time with a friend discussing a mutual interest . In so many of your videos I want to bring out something of mine, and go yes, that’s why I bought this, and look at the design on that, and contrast and compare!

Oh boy Turquoise - one of my favorite topics, although I rarely buy it for myself. One of my pet peeves is the lack of knowledge by KZread jewelry haul or sellers - they don't know squat about what they are selling. Some cannot tell if they have real stone, and they are holding it for gosh sake. They call everything Howlite, not knowing the difference between Magnasite and Howlite - I am fussy about providing correct info to others, especially if you are selling. I profess to loving Jay King, and watch every show he has on HSN, that man knows his stuff and is a wealth of knowledge. My other pet peeve is that online sellers sell real Turquoise too cheaply, people it cannot be replaced, all American mines but Kingman are closed - and they don't even know that! I wish I could identify stone from each mine, each is so special. I just bought two of those books. I am in the process of selling mother's jewelry from the 50's and 60's including some Turquoise pieces, nothing is marked of course. I would love to be able to identify the mine the Turquoise came from, as well as price them appropriately. Ha Ha I was wondering about the Crown Royal bags! Loved this presentation - STOP APOLOGIZING! Life is full of choices, its not a matter of right or wrong. There are good and better choices, and ones not well thought out. Some choices get you further than others, most are a learning experience. Remember Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail - choose wisely! I can't wait for the next class!

i have liked a total of 2 pages in all my years at youtube- yours is the second- it is fantastic!!!!!! i am hoping that in the future you could give suggested auction prices (ala antique road show) for your beautiful collections- you do not need to reveal what you paid, just use your expertise to say what they are worth at auction or for insurance purposes- that would give viewers a chance to learn what a good deal is, and how to shop wisely- because you obviously shop wisely, and know what you are doing!!! your personal creations are amazing!!!!!! there is no value on that art - and thank you for being so informative, and kind-

I started collecting on a larger scale a couple of years after my partner and I adopted our first son so probably about 8 years ago ! So, in honor of the style icon we both admire, Wilma Flintstone, I saw you title and had rhe only appropriate response; YABBA DABBA DOOOO😂 I could sit, and listen to your descriptions, while lovingly fangirling over your cufts and rings, and squashes for hours. Nope.I'd have to happen to bring a sleeping bag 😁😀😂💗 Funny thing is, when I thought I should starr collecting NA jewelry...I realized, I had been subconsciously. A piece here, a vintage Zuni coral Thunderbird cuff and necklace set there. Now collecting deliberately, and consciously 💗 I'm proud of you and wish I had your Chutzpah ❣❣❣🤗
