SCR Performance Low is really wide term when it comes to Volvo. It could be number things that will trigger this massage to pop up. It could be Inlet or Outlet Nox Sensors, DEF Doser Valve, EGR Cooler or EGR Valve, 7th Injector and list goes on.

Thats why you look up the code. The code will tell you where to start in the possible cause area. With his engine code Doser valve was 1 of the possibilities along with Def quality Def clogged lines n control module.

@Cedric Diggs i would think it was self-explanatory that you have to look at the code when I said it could be multiple different things. One thing you have to remember is that a lot of times when you get SCR Performance Low you won't get code pointing you to the right issue right away, and you have run diagnostics on all those things I mentioned above to find out which part triggers SCR Performance Low.

you could have run the truck with the dozer valve off and see it it worked, it sprays intermittent shots of def. Think the problem was more with inlet being needed to be cleaned.

@@TruckingLife Unfortunately it is cracked. it's a hairline crack and cleaning the area with a wire brush makes it harder to see, not easier. The easiest way to tell is to perform a stationary regen with that shield off so you have a clear view of the area. When the DPF gets close to 1000* in the middle of the regen, you'll see the crack expand A LOT. Stainless steel expands and contracts a lot with temperature variations. I have around 25 trucks with that model DPF and they all crack there.

EPA troll bait lol. Not worth it. But you need a great wrench and we don't see enough of the 180 an hour dealer rates to be worth the 750 a month check starting in 10 years when Cancer rates spoke from rolling in DEF to maintain these properly. It's too specific, too touchy, overly governed with software and exposed to the elements to be done the way it should. Nobody can show me a video non stop of a shop doing this right in the time they say it takes without exposing the tech to the terrible chemicals.
