We've had a spell of continuous rains for a bit. I didn't use my bike for almost 2 weeks and found that there was a thin layer or rust forming on the chain and the disk brake rotors, especially on the surface which gets covered by the brake pads. Cleaning the chain was easy, used Motul C1 & C2 but I panicked for the brake rotors and made the mistake of using WD40. It cleaned the brakes just too well. WD40 is essentially a lubricant and it killed my brakes!! What to do now?
So I found a couple of brake cleaners on Amazon and they worked like magic... really!! Check out in the video!

spray it on the disc 2-3 times at least and rub off with a microfiber cloth. Then the brakes will be back to normal!

Can we use this after washing our motorcycle? Just for cleaning our disc. I have a new motorcycle

Yes you can. But not really required for a new motorcycle. When you ride in dusty conditions, your discs will start making squeaky noises. That time get the bike pressure washed from washing center and then use this to ensure braking is back to full efficiency

I use the stp but it didn't show any result... i invest in many break clean arou 3000 but it doesn't work...plz help me

Hi, not sure why STP wouldn't work. It works fine for me. 3M Brake cleaner is much stronger if you want to try it but if that is also not working, then get it checked by ASC.

I use wourth, stp, hyundai, maruti suzuki break cleaner or even wash in soap,alcohol,dish washer but it doesn't work🥲🥲🥲

भाई अगर 3M का brake cleaner मिला Amazon पर तो best चीज है. वरना STP का brake cleaner ले कर २-३ बार use करना. मेरा vdo देखना. मैने भी येही गलती करी थी 3M Car Care High Power Brake Cleaner 75g amzn.eu/d/bNA2tSi

Hope you were able to fix it quickly too! Today when lubing the chain, some of it must have sprayed on the disc rotor as well as I found the same issue again in the rear brake. But a quick spray of STP Heavy Duty Brake cleaner brought the braking back to normal!
Bro in my bike duke 200 front break it is noiseing sometimes like whistle it normal or not

Is your bike new? The rear disc used to make that kind of noise for my bike for a while but no other braking issue apart from that. Now I've completed 5.5k kms and no more noise

Its becasue of the dust that is seating on your Diskpad clean it and you are good to go
How how much time do we need to wipe off the residues for the disk brakes

I'm assuming you mean after spraying on the brake discs. If using 3M brake cleaner then no need to wipe at all. It's self evaporates super fast. If using STP then need to wipe off the residue after some time. With STP, at least 2 times cleaning will be required.

Change brand new hardly used discs? Bhai maybe you have the money to change stuff every 500 kms. As a biker, we need to learn to properly use and maintain things and most importantly, how to fix our mistakes!
