Great choice on using a cage on the BMPCC OG. Having torn down and repaired mine I can tell those things are extremely fragile, not just for the inputs but for the whole internal structure - it's best to keep those screw posts as stress free as possible (Don't overtighten, it will break the structure and makes the posts loose) and your hands gripping the cage. I kinda wish I could go for a micro instead.

I would add a rim light behind your left side out of the frame, on a tripod and aimed at the lantern. It would add structure and depth to your head and shoulders. Lighting from the front only can look a bit flat.

  • @randydean23

I think in photography that lighting setup is called "beauty lighting" but instead of a tube light you're bouncing light from a flash off of a reflector below the model. You still mainly light with the key light but the bounce fills in all the shadows. At least that's what I recall. Looking good!
