I went to SLO in the late 90's. Worked at the Jiffy Lube in Arroyo Grande. Love that town. Haven't been back in 15 years. It has grown a lot. You video brought back some great memories.

I've made $300 in 3 hours in Silicon Valley. It was a round trip XL. Wish that was every day, but $160 is the usual day for 4-5 hours. No driving after 8 pm.in 5 years driving, I've had 6 of these days so they are rare. I drive 15-20 hours/week.

I been doing Uber for 9 months now and about to look for a job. Not worth it. They pay you too little.

Hello i enjoy your videos! Just want to share my experience with uber. I live in Chicago always work 1 job but lately with this economy 1 job just not cutting it, i decided to drive for uber, i started October 22, of this year and in the 1 month i drive 6 days per week, 5 days i drive 5 to 6 hours and sundays i drive 8 hours, in 1 month i did 374 rides and made $4,398, i dont know if thats low or high to the average full-time driver. I drive a 2020 porsche macan 4 cylinder 2.0 so i get decent gas mileage 21 city 28 highway. After subtracting gas i walk away with a profit of $3,100, 1 month. Overall i like it, i like the experience of meeting people and plan to keep doing it. Thanks.

$224 / 6 that’s like $37 an hour. That’s really good! In San Francisco most drivers barely make $22 an hour now. No idea how you got to $37 that’s good

SLO is a special place and likely not many gig workers so not lots of competition for her. Don't use SLO as a reference. The town is special and most likely she doesn't have much competition.

I'd love to make $200 in 6 hours every time I drive, but the real numbers shape up like this in central Florida. 0.65/mile, 18/hr before expenses. I'm not even making enough per mile to pay taxes. Been driving for 5 months, everything in a spreadsheet.

Well if it makes you feel any better, that is not normal for around here either. Only on busy holiday weekends or when there is a special event in town.

I’m looking to do Uber ride share now. I’ve been doing food deliveries for Uber Eats etc about two years, and thought I’d try out the ride share. I’ve been a taxi driver before back home in London for many years, but now wanting to do it for a few hours a week whilst my wife is at dialysis. Great video.

I used to do food delivery and currently doing ride share. Doing ride share is both easier and make more money. When I work for door dash. I would show up at the restaurant and most of the time the order wouldn't be ready or there is a huge line. So there's a lot of waiting around.On top of that navigation through apartments can be hard. A lot of time they just put the pin at the front of the apartment complex and you can't see the house or apartment numbers in the dark etc etc. When you drive Uber all of that is fixed. The customer will sometimes drop a pin of where they are. And if that fails you can actually see where they are in real time. And if you get there and the rider is no where in sight a 3 minute timer count down so you are waiting on them forever. And if it goes past 5 min you can cancel it and still be paid in FULL.

It would depend. We have a very large country with a few population centres. I make anywhere from $250 to $400 a day in the Vancouver region.

I drive a Honda fit. I get 38 to 40 mpg sometimes on the highway. 31 in the city.

I am not ever able to see how much my right is paying me unless I’m doing Uber eats. The only thing I can see with Uber rides is how far away the customer is have you always been able to see the amount that the ride was paying you before you accepted it?

@@sharonjohnson8550 I have the same issue, i contacted Uber support about it and they said that it depends on what city you drive in. Its not supported in all cities unfortunately.

You’re not in upfront pricing market. You can figure it out by multiply the mileage by .68 cents. Before tip

Before taxes. In California we get ¢65.5 per mileage as a write off.

Uber drivers usually end up paying zero in taxes because they use mileage as a write-off at .65 cents per mile.

I average 18 to 25 an hour. Mostly 22 an hour. So, not going to happen in my market. Do you live in a large city where stars are taking Uber. You must drive Uber Black-type limo.

In some cases there's no choice. If it's the only income you can find but I agree. I do this part time to fill in the financial gaps.

I've never ever hit $200 in a day never going to happen. Uber is trash.
