How to draw the Sri Yantra → • Want to draw a perfect...
It’s always intimidating to draw the Sri Yantra by hand, it can all go wrong at any moment. And what if you want to make it super ornate? Even more pressure!
I finally got round to it but it didn’t go quite as I planned. In this video I’ll walk you through my journey with the Sri Yantra. Things might not always go smoothly in this geometric game but it’s worth it in the end.

Sri Yantra is the symbol of Hinduism we worship daily in India

you guys are pure evil
“It takes as long as it takes, and when it’s done, it’s done.” So true. I’m not an artist, but am truly a perfectionist in everything I do. I just finished doing the smallest braids I’ve ever done on myself, and as I did them, I kept saying to myself, they don’t have to be perfect, just keep going. I started a week or so ago. Some days I didn’t touch it at all. But when I finished, I was absolutely in love and satisfied with my perfect imperfection. I said this to say, I completely understand your thought process. I love the way you explained each part of the symbol and what they meant. I’ve been learning to balance my energy and to see this drawing was like confirmation that I am mastering it. Thank you so much for sharing this masterpiece and it turned out perfectly, as the Creator intended ❤
I feel you! Almost all my artworks take a lot of time because of my perfectionist tendencies and although i have learnt to be more loose at times, i still like putting a lot of work and intention into a piece. But it really used to intimidate me when i had to start something. So now i just tell myself every time before working on something, “i’m excited for working on this and it’s okay if I don’t finish the amount i intended to, all that matters is that i get to be in this state and create something I really want to”. This approach has eased my procrastination so much as well! 🥰

That is the most beautiful Sri Yantra I have ever seen. I love colour scheme. You inspire me to keep trying, which in turn gives me enjoyment, purpose and fulfilment. Thank you again.

Only once you free yourself from the pursuit of perfection are you truly able be you
This is so beautiful. I've just ordered a print of it from you. I want it in my home where i can feel its lovely energy. Thank you 🌻

Thank you so much for the support!
Drew one of these for trataka last year, you really get a sense for how complicated it actually is when you're drawing it yourself, took me several tries and the process only got more intimidating through successive tries but got it eventually, very rewarding in the end
This is one of the most beautiful pieces I've seen. All I can say is; Wow. Sending you loads of love and positive vibes from me, a Swede in Norway. You have a gift.
Go for it.

Great work 👏 I like doing the construction with compass and ruler but the decorative elements free hand. It's a good balance. Your work is beautiful. I think you're on the right track with your mindset.
So much detailing, amazing work
Amazing work! Sometimes I find incredibly peaceful starting a project without knowing when I will finish it. Something so big you can only concentrate on every small detail.
I love the little mushrooms in the drawing. They are my little saviours in so many ways. Your work and attitude is of a true master. Thank you 🙏 for being such an inspiration. Genius x
The best thing I’ve seen for a long time…Precious Masterpiece! Great Artist!
This is so beautiful 😍 love the little mushrooms and quartz along the geometry. Your art and dedication inspire me so much my love ❤️

WAOUH Quel travail exceptionnel !! J'adore !! Bravo !!
Amazing work!
Totally beautiful ❤️ and a real inspiration for me, thank you 😊
I tried drawing one of these in 1988, not easy! Would like to try again, your comic book and color effect are AWESOME!
Wow man, that’s the nicest one I’ve seen you do I think.✌️
Your work is dynamite 🧨 and your commentary is a pleasure.
Great method. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful.
Wowwww que divino dibujo. Felicidades 🇲🇽
This is beautiful
Just wonderfull!
WOW 🙏🏽❤️🗻 Thank you for that. It's a sign for me to go back to my book about Yantra 🙌🏽👁️🌈
Agreed, it's not the destination, it's the journey to the destination that counts.
Love the art, don’t enjoy the negative superstition associated with it. If you draw an imperfect drawing, you have the positive outcome of learning, not bad luck.

Exactly what I came to say. Fantastic drawing, but really bad ideas attached to it. "Consequences for messing it up" is a problematic delusion.
Mind blown away !
Thank you so much i am waiting for this 😊
I don't know if you've come across the 80/20 principle? It's complicated, but one aspect can be boiled down to learning when 80% is good enough. Basically perfection is an exponential curve, so as you approach 80% quality on the curve, after that, the effort put in vastly outweighs the benefit. It applies to virtually anything that requires effort, expense, time... I try to live by that, although as a perfectionist, if it's a creative activity then I'll still continue until it's good enough for me to be happy. But at least accepting the decreasing reward is a conscious decision. :)

Re the 80/20 perspective, I think in the spiritual realm it takes 80 % of one's energy to get to 80% consciousness and AT LEAST another 80% or more likely 180% to fulfill the remaining 20%. Of course percentages are a constant variable, GOOD LUCK ON THE JOURNEY.
hard work like this honestly intimidates me

Hola buen dia.
I have left some superimposed triangle on top, it also looks nice but I am more interested in what it transmits
Fantastica 👍
Excellent work Just a suggestion while drawing shree yantra and mandala try to use red or golden color it will bring positive results for you..
Namaste! Peace, joy and happiness to you, and thank you for sharing your balance and harmony with us!
Потрясающе! Невероятная работа 👍
Man just from looking at it you can see that took an AWFULLY long time.
The wide part upfacing as reseptive and the wide part downfacing as the expressive can be experienced as pure cosmic energy rather then particularly female and male. Also useful to invision and feel in the body these forms as open based pirimids.
7:48 And a specially thanks for philosophy in the end. Subscribe
Hello, I am new to your channel, here by random. I used to like technical drawing many years ago at scho so would lokk e to try some of the easier stuff. Do you have any vids on the pencil types you use and ink pens etc thanks

@@adidas1439 you could see being professional like him also had to do many corrections, it surely is very hard to do with average not so accurate instruments, although I'll try in future And discarding the old drawing is not easy as well because you couldn't be sure it wouldn't have consequences, kinda stuck don't want to disrespect Am I being too over cautious?

As long as it's biodegradable I recommend tossing it into a river, or any other large body of water and starting fresh. Focus and be patient and you'll get it.

extremely well said ... and its truth playable on everything what humans do...its a form of mastery ...I have a hard time to discard thinking of result, gain, fame and that is all wrong , it makes difference between real art and crap

Really appreciate your efforts, but i don't think it is a perfect sri yantra.
.... Not in the million, I might guess that you did it deliberately... 10:12 , u drew an Islamic ornament and wrote the name of Allah, in Arabic language, with reflection of the mirror. search for Ornate kufic font allah, you will find the same decoration and the word. i like it ..

Absolutely, if one would apply this level of diligence and commitment to finish a job, then things can change for good.
Love your videos but unless you know what the mental illness is, never mention OCD. It has nothing to do with being neat, it’s horrible frankly.

I doubt he said that to offend anyone...from what I gather OCD does actually involve obsessions about things being precise or symmetrical. Sacred geometry is all about symmetry.
