How I Do Water Changes - Python Water Change System

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

This is how I use a my Python Water Changer to change out the water in my indoor tanks. This is not an advertisement for Python, but I just genuinely love this product of theirs. I used to carry 5 gallon buckets back and forth and I'm never going back.

I left the hobby many years ago, depression got the best of me, and I was so attached to my gold fishes for the very wrong reasons, it took me a long journey to overcome it, and even tho I miss them and saddens me to remember loosing them your channel actually helped me to recall how I used to enjoy and feel at ease and peace just to caring them and naming them (most laughed by the idea of giving names to fish), getting to know their personalities improve their tanks, treat their illnesses and research... I might comeback to it hehe Looking forward for more videos!

Hey Luke! Great vids btw, you have some adorable Ranchus. Python water changers are a necessity! I dont know how people keep fish without them. When I started fish keeping 5 years ago I did one water change with buckets and a syphon and was like aw hell no! Invested in a python system and the rest is history. I use a water pump attached to the intake hose and use that to pump out the water into my kitchen sink.

Thanks for the tip about making sure that the water you add is warmer than the water it’s going into rather than colder. Because I would’ve thought that it would’ve been better to put colder rather than warmer.

Its better to have the water previously rested hopefully from the day before and then transfer to your aquarium that is what is called “aged water” . This is easy to do if you have a big container to hold it and the help of a water pump.

Hi luke, new subscriber here And also new to goldfish keeping. I have a few questions, are you using just regular tap water? Or do you have some kind of special water filtration system in your home? Also how often do you test water for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates? Ive had my 55 gallon tank for over a month now but i noticed my ammonia levels are high. Not sure if its reading ammonium because my goldfish all seem fine, healthy, and are eating.

Hey hey, just found your channel and love the videos so far. I have a question and would love an answer if you have the time. Your videos are the first videos I happened to stumble on about fish care so I'm very ignorant on the subject. I thought it was like, dangerous to use tap/shower water? Is that true? If so, is that what the primer is for? Sorry if this is a simple question, I just really have like zero knowledge. Thanks for your time!

Do you take the green part off of the shower hose, and put the shower head back on? That’s a good setup but don’t have a hose setup on shower. How often would you do water changes or did u say and I missed it. I love your merch, you should have merch where people send in a pick of their goldfish and your artist draws it up for your fans on whatever clothes they choose. I would totally buy it!! I have a beautiful calico oranda. I can’t determine the sex of it but I love it I didn’t think I could love a fish so much.
