Great explanation, thanks. I use powder coat as a substitute for lubricant on cast lead bullets. The charge is imparted by tumbling the bullets in a PVC drum rather than with a static gun. What I've noticed is that for my application I got better results with specialist automotive component powders from PowderLAK in JHB than with the Adendorff ones. They were really helpful and sent me various small batches to try until I found what worked. You might consider giving them a try when you need powder again.

You are lucky they only wanted to sell me 20kg bags. I was seeking 1kg of each colour to paint jig heads for resale. Cant afford around R 4 500 per colour. Who has around 45k lying around.

That almost looks just like the powder coating kit you can buy at Harbor Freight here in the US. It's a good starter powder coating kit for the money. I also live near a military installment. I hear military helicopters all the time during the day. Chinooks, Apaches, Black Hawks, Super Cobras, and every once in a while, a Huey.

I'm pretty sure it is. Adendorff Machinery Mart is South Africa's equivalent of Harbor Freight, so I wouldn't be surprised if they source their products from the same supplier and just rebrand them.

That was cool! Thanks for helping me understand the process. I noticed that you had to move the ground wire to each part you wanted to paint. Can you "daisy chain" the the ground wire so that it grounds multiple parts at the same time?

Assuming he sprays in his garden and wearing a respirator - not really needed if away from the wind and can’t smell it

I hate adverts! Your sponsor will thank you. But definitely not the environment. Blowing up the huge amount of paint residue is a sin.

Please buy a cabinet to collect the residue powder! (You already promised to buy one) All the micro plastic gets thrown in the environment. It's an absolutely no go! Especially when you show people how to do it!!! That's not the way!
