In this video I want to show you guys my current way of making a kick and bass for psytrance. First I'll show you a finished kick and bass to quickly run through the process. After that I'll show you the process from scratch as we make a new kick and bass. For me the process is more important than the end result so in this video I focus on that.

Projektor is an alias I started around august 2019. Under this alias I started posting psytrance music with a clear emphasis on theming and a more progressive or mainstream style than other producers. The goal of the Projektor alias is to release memorable music which works well on the dancefloor. Around january 2020 I started posting tutorials and other helpful videos on youtube again under the Projektor alias. Together with these videos I started selling several products which can be used to improve your productions. I have always believed music production knowledge should be shared and that is now one of my main goals with the Projektor alias. Currently Projektor is the only alias under which I release music, videos or products but this might change in the future!

    @@Projektor_music I’ve gone through much videos to learn serum. Coming from an analog background, I always felt that most videos on the web would confuse beginners even further as I see they ‘neglect’ or skip over the parts that will still keep most of us new to electronic synthesis in the dark. It’s not the presets or the synths, I wish the pros just stream their work flow. That will teach more than any short video to get views here. You are awesome. Loved ur video. It was like finding the map out of the Serum puzzles pls keep sharing. Love to see a stream like Collective Intelligence did just creating a track..and not talking but showing what he was doing.

    Have you ever tried Dawesomes Chop Suey for the Kicks? It works with sample based kicks and you can recreate a new Kick with the transiebnt of Kick A, the body of Kick B and the Tail of Kick C

    Is there any possibility to save the three track bass group as an own preset containing the instrument racks?

    @@Projektor_music oh sorry for the misunderstaning: I meant if I do my own one but don't want to rebuild again and again. Just a technical question for ableton on how to save a track containing Instruments and stuff.

  • @Projektor_music

    @Projektor_music

    @@Bobbycartuner ahh in ableton just drag the track into a folder inside your places... I have a seperate folder for it actually. it should create a .als file which is in essance a project file (you can even open it as a project for ableton, but you can also drag it inside another project) Hope that clears it up, sorry for the misunderstanding
